Description

Rated 3 out of 5 by Oh from Screw up I was satisfied to an extent. I had to purchase an extra hook, since there appears to be a problem with the screw. The groove on the tip of the screw is not set correctly. The screw would not hold in the screwdriver long enough to be attached to the ceiling or go into the ceiling. It would not expand or grip so the hook would not stay in the ceiling. I had to purchase a extra hook set and extra screws. No refund or credit from Lowe's when I informed them of the problem I had with the hook.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Carley from Swivel anchor hook. The swivel hook is attractive and swivels nicely but the anchor part did not work. When we were screwing it into the ceiling, the tip of the screw came out of the track, which caused it to not release the anchor. We tried unscrewing it and doing it again, but it still wouldn't work. We were using a screwdriver rather than a screw gun/drill, so I believe it just isn't stiff enough, because it's not like we went too quickly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smith from Easy to "screw up"... unfortunately Great idea but fails in the actual product. Could not get the retaining screw (which tightens to secure the hook against the dry wall by pulling the cross support close) to thread through the cross support. I even tried pre-threading and testing the concept before inserting in the hole. I'm not sure that the cross support actually fell evenly (i.e. horizontally) across the top of the drywall after insertion, so the retaining screw never really "bit". Note that I tried this twice (yeah, I bought it again..) and it still didn't work.

I did not think the backer material would be strong enough to hold a heavy planter over time so when I saw this product it looked perfect and worked great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Steve from Sturdy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hook is sturdy, maybe a little too sturdy. My wife and I put one of these in our ceiling then she decided she wanted to move it to a different part of the room. When I attempted to take the hook back out (the way the product says to do it) the part that goes in and then drops horizontally wouldn't budge. I ended up being forced to just push the whole thing (minus the white hook part) up into the ceiling and mudding over the small hole. We then had to buy a new hook. The new hook works great. Hopefully I never have to attempt to move it.

I received assistance from an employee in rhe hardware aisle who directed me to this product. I easily understood his words and the design of how I could use this hook. I took it home and put it up in a matter of minutes. I am VERY pleased with the advise and purchase.
