Will not lastI installed these gutter guards thinking I had found a cheap solution to clogged gutters. After installation I was proud of my work and they looked great.
9 months later and they have failed miserably. The light plastic has warped and contorted. The guards will not hold their shape allowing debris to clog my downspouts.
I wonder if all these 4 and 5 star reviewers have climbed up and checked out their guards recently. It's likely they believe their guards are up there doing their job when they are not.
I posted a picture of what they look like after only 9 months.

Effective ProductI installed these guards about a year ago. So far, they've remained intact and kept the gutters clean. My only issue is with regard to installation. My roof shingles hang over my gutters a good inch or so, which makes it impossible to tuck the guard under the shingle. Instead, I've opted to lay the guard over the shingle. This has actually been effective in keeping depri off of the guard, because the guard is pitched with the roof and not laying flat. Although, with this type of installation, I will occasionally have one blow off during high winds, but it happens rarely. I've also tried gutter brushes, however, they take up so much volume in the gutter that water will spill over during heavy rains.

Snap-in Gutter Filter was a "Snap"!!I'm surprised at the poor ratings this product is getting. Had experienced very little over flow in my gutters due to heavy rain. They are secure and seem to be keeping debris out. I beleive there are many factors that play into the effectiveness of this product--the pitch of your roof, the type of trees in your area, the style of gutter, and whether you live in cold or hot climate. With anything made of plastic it will not last forever, but the price is right to handle a couple years of not climbing up a ladder 30 feet off the ground for this 50 year old broad!

Effective against pine needlesI've looked forever for a gutter solution that would keep pine straw out of my gutters. This fit the bill. It's not perfect, but the fine mesh is keeping the pine straw to a minimum. When it rains, I actually hear water running down my downspouts instead of just pouring over the edge of the clogged gutters. Time off a ladder is time well spent. Installation was a breeze. I recommend heavy-duty sheers or a snip. You don't want to spend a lot of time cutting while in the air.

worked for meI put these on one side of my house about 5 to 6 years ago, where a maple tree overhangs the house. I still have to get up on the ladder occasionally to clean the gutters on the other 3 sides of the house so I visually inspect the gutters under the screens and they are clear with almost zero debris getting through. Based on my experience I am very satisfied and I recommend this product. I think my gutters are 5" but pay attention to the review about these not working as well with 6" gutters.

Works good w/ modificationAs manufactured, in a steady or hard rain, the water comes off the roof, flows right across the guard's very fine mesh wiring, and drains over the side of the gutter. No good. But I peeled off the mesh wiring to expose the larger holes underneath them (about 5/16"). The water goes right into the gutter now, no problem. The guard let's in a little bit of really small debris, which I can clear out with a water hose, but it still keeps the leaves and big stuff out. Although I don't have to deal with pine needles or the helicopters at my house.

Good gutter guardI purchased this product in the spring of 2008 in anticipation of the fall leaves. I have a very large oak in the front and back of my house. The falling leaves are tremendous from mines and my neighbor’s trees. I installed this leaf guard and to this day haven’t had a problem, except for a squirrel pulling one off as he jumped on the roof. With some ¼” self tapping screws to secure them they have been durable for the price. Its been three years and still holding strong. I was told that it would last, but it has.

Not for meI installed these on my gutters to keep out leaves. They will certainly do that; however, I noticed first medium rain which occurred, it was like my gutters did not exist. The rain just came right over the guards, and there was virtually nothing going out the gutter. Turns out that, since the gutter was installed quite a distance below the roof, when snapped in place, the angle was too slanted and it just ran right over the gutter. The gutter on some of the other parts of the condo was not so much below, making the elevation more the same between the gutter and the roof; therefore, in those places it picked up the water and it did not run over. If I had it to do over, I would install all the heavier wire ones, even if a few small leaves do get in the gutters. They are just too fine a mesh for most applications in my opinion.
