Is there anyway to get the water from the fridge dispenser to be colder?
Hi LeeD16, the temperature on the dispenser water is determined by the temperature setting on your fridge. To make the water colder you would need to make the fridge colder as well. Thanks

emergency purchase
When the fridge we had decided to stop cooling on a Tuesday afternoon we went into damage control mode and began the hunt. We went to a few other places and couldn't find anything that fit what we were looking for price, size, etc. We went to Lowe's and were beginning to think we were really up a creek so to speak, until we looked at the website and found this. Lucky for us they actually had one in stock at the store which after the sale price was the final check mark in the win column. Took a little bit of adjustment to get used to the larger fridge but overall we are very pleased with this purchase and hope it lasts a very very long time.

Very disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer fan motor is very loud and we had a repairman tell us this was normal for this model. He said he has had many customer complaints of noise and changed the fan a couple of times without any improvement. Also the ice dispenser stopped working and we were told it was because the ice bin had too much ice for the motor to dispense properly. There is no adjustment to reduce the amount of ice stored, so we were told we need to use the ice more frequently. I can't believe Whirlpool and Lowe's would sell a product with these known defects. Do not buy this product.

Fridge is VERY LOUD
The refrigerator is operating properly and cooling and freezing as I expected, but the noise generated from this unit is unacceptable. One would think that in this day and age that engineers could design an efficient refrigerator that does not sound like a piece of farm equipment. If only I would have heeded the warning posted by another purchaser regarding this unit being very loud......oh well! If you don't mind adjusting volume on your TV when the compressor turns on you will be fine, otherwise like me you will hope that as you age your sense of hearing diminishes to eliminate the objectionable noise.

Great Refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fridge. Read lots of reviews on different brands, and went with Whirlpool because it had the least bad reviews, and many of the other brands had bad reviews about the actual functioning of the refrigerator.
Pros:
-Lots of room
-Ice bin holds lots of ice
-Dispenses ice quickly
-Dispenses cold water
-Quiet
-Nice touch controls on front
-bright LED lights
Cons:
-Light in top of fridge shines out torward your face
-ice dispenser area for cup kind of short for taller cups
-Non-adjustable shelves (shelves only have one position, and do not slide out either)
Although there are a few cons, the pros out weigh them to result in a very nice refrigerator for the money.

Nice looking Frig
Overall a nice looking frig. Working well and quiet. Like the finger print resistant feature. Lots of storage on the door. What I don’t like is non adjustable shelves and difficult time trying to level. Got the bottom rollers leveled and top looks uneven. Adjust one side to fix the top and then bottom Is back to wobbly. Not the floor. My other frig was level. There was also yellow foam insulation oozing from the top front corner that had to be scaped off. Replaced a 21 year old whirlpool that was still kicking. We’ll see if this one lasts as long.

Sweet!
Great fridge! People complained about the noise with the ice being dropped. Let your ice maker work for a solid 2-3 days and then see how much noise it makes. Ice sounds loud when the bin is empty. Only giving 4 stars because the water and the ice don't come out of the same location and when I went to look at it in store, I didn't notice it. Location of the water dispenser is right at the end of the display which means that water can dribble out and slide down the front. But there isn't enough to hit the ground ever. Quick wipe, and it's clean--easy fix.

Big letdown
We bought this fridge after reading the reviews that it was loud, thinking that people were exaggerating. After one day we knew we had to return it because it was running constantly and we didn't want to listen to that noise pollution all the time. Otherwise it's a decent fridge but there was no way we were going to listen to it running constantly. The manual says it runs more than a normal fridge for "energy efficiency" but it was just crazy making for us. We got another fridge now that is nice and quiet.

Not Whirlpool quality
This is the noisiest refrigerator we've ever owned and not the high quality one would expect from Whirlpool. The doors on our refrigerator have been uneven since the beginning, which is admittedly a small defect, but not one we would expect from Whirlpool. The noise level as it's going through its various cycle is one of the most annoying features. Another concern is that occasionally ice gets stuck allowing air into the freezer as the ice door is open slightly until the cube melts; this doesn't happen often, but it shouldn't happen at all with a brand new refrigerator. Another complaint we have is about the customer service. Our request for information about purchasing a water filter bypass plug for this model has been ignored. A big disappointment from Whirlpool.
