Not perfect, but works well
Sometimes a simple pickup tool is not enough. Sometimes you need a brush to get to all the dirt on a floor. This one has two settings--one which sets the bristles low and one which sets them higher for rougher surfaces. But if the surface is too rough, it will keep switching back to the low setting unless you are very careful. Since buying this one I have found another brand which works better for rough surfaces because it has only a high setting and because there are more bristles. This one works better on smooth surfaces, however. All in all, it works as well as I hoped it would and I am not disappointed in my purchase. It does need an adapter to work with the larger hose.

Only lasted 16 days.
Worked nice to vacuum the garage rugs & rough concrete floors for 3 times, just long enough for my purchase to roll off Lowes records for return without receipt. Carrier that pushes the bristles out broke, it's much too thin near the cams that push it out. Lever doesn't stay in position either. I might have to look into the Tennant vacuum like the school janitor uses. It's strong, light, & quiet enough to hold a conversation.

I expect more for vacumn accessories
I bought a nice 8 gal shop vac from a different store. I like the vac but the accessories are poorly designed and cheaply made. I went to Lowes and bought some replacements that looked to be better than the originals. Not so. This particular item has a feature to raise and lower the brush bristles ( it works better with the them extended). The only problem is that the bristles won't stay in the extended position.

vacuum carpet?
Unless I was totally misguided with my purchase, I bought this to use my shop vac for vacuuming carpet. So not worth the hassle, you have to hold it just right to get the right suction. I had to get on my hands and knees and hold the nozzle by the neck to position it just right, then it worked perfect. But like I said so not worth the 10-15 minutes with this versus a regular vacuum cleaner. Good quality product, just not functional.

Less Aggravation(except for the price)
I really get annoyed when the flat face attachments get stuck to the floor or suck up rugs & mats. This attachment prevents that. I can vac in about half the time & electricty use/noise exposure. The swivel function works quite well. You can easily vacuum the bottom of tables & shelves as long as the tool fits under them. The most aggravating things about this attachment are the price and the flimsiness. Be sure to store it where it wont get stepped on or ran over!

Great nozzle head
I bought this to vacuum the drywall dust from the walls and floors. I used the lever to pop-up the brushes to use on the walls, which helps to dislodge the dust. Then I push the lever back down again to hide the brushes and use the smooth bottom, which works best for the floor. I guess the best thing I could say about it would be that I would buy a new one if this one broke. Best shopvac head I've ever used.l

not recommended- fragile
I have broken THREE of these units so that the brushes will not protrude, thus the plastic drags on the hardwood floor with resulting scratches. the plastic base inside is so thin that it is easily broken. try another brand....

Money Well Wasted
When attached to extension wand, doesn't stay facing floor, so only sucks air; must use attached to the hose on knees. When you flip the button to extend brushes, the brushes will retract every few strokes. Great concept, horrible exicution.
