does it record to cloud? how far back are you able to go back and review footage?
You can select your subscription plan with Nest (owned by Google) by buying a 5 day, 10 day or 30 day recording plan. It's retrievable from any device including your phone, and you can rewind, make a clip, etc.

Setup and installation are incredibly simple, did myself. Took 10 minutes per camera.

How many megapixels does this can have?
The Nest Cam Indoor "1/3 inch, three megapixel sensor is made up of large, high­-quality pixels so you can see every little detail, day or night."
As this is a video Camera more then a image camera the more important stat is that it shoots in 1080p HD quality video.

Not a good buy.
Unless a monthly subscription is taken out, these cameras are not worth the price of the box they come in. They are absolute garbage.
All the great features aren't available if you don't subscribe. If the camera detects motion, a notification is sent out but it doesn't record anything, it send a picture. The capture it takes misses the activity.
Spend a little more and get something that does not require a monthly fee.

great features!
i've had this for a month and it is great!, It doesn't use batteries and it does come with a long cord, so you don't have to worry about streaming all day long if you want. You can use it on a windowsill and the camera is clear . It works great day or night, and the alerts are great! I like the fact that you can move it around to different areas if you want.

Easy set up
We installed it about a month ago. Love that it alerts me when it detects a person. It turns off automatically when I get home so it isn’t eating up wifi (this is a setting)
Also fun to freak out the kids when I talk to them when I’m not here

I Buy my month ago really like it good product, but you have to pay 9$ a month to have all feature if you dont pay its only photos and for the price they coule make it free, good to know before buying it!

I already owned a Nest Thermostat 3rd gen. and two Nest Protects 2nd gen. The Nest Cam was the quality I expected. Customer service has been excellent.
