Wallpaper removal is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked very well Despite some of the other reviews I went ahead and purchased this product. I didn't have any problem at all with the quality of the product, but I didn't go after it like a gorilla either. I worked small areas with it peeled the paper and then worked another small area (about 1 foot at a time). This is wall paper that we are dealing with and my experience has been that it is never a pleasant experience. The most mysterious substance known to man is wall paper glue. When you are using it to put wall paper up, it won't stick a fly to a pile of manure. When you are trying to take wall paper down you need God and a jack-hammer. That being said this did the job easier than any I had done in the past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked as it should I had no problems when using the scorer. I had two layers of stubborn wallpaper to remove and the scorer opened it up for the liquid to get in and loosen the paste. Sure, it takes a lot of time and elbow grease, but the scorer worked as it should. I went over the wallpaper in lots and lots of circular motions - removing wallpaper is not an easy task and there's really no quick fix! I was skeptical based on the reviews, but I used a lot of pressure and the scorer did not damage my walls (plaster) or break. I could not have done this project without the scorer. I'm rating it with one less star only because it's a single scorer and not one that is larger with more blades for faster scoring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best designed scoring tool on the market bought my first one the same day I purchased my house riddled with wallpaper to start my remodel once I opened it up and started to use it I quickly realized that I was making some very deep gouges in the walls upon inspection one of the rollers was siezed so I returned it for a new one the second one worked awesome allowed me to soak paper with out harming my walls but the product is easy to use and will easily double your production and compaired to other scoring tools it has 2 extra rollers and the head swivels and after about a week of use removing wallpaper it still doing its job only con is that it doesn't fit in corners

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you say so... But mine worked great! After reading the reviews, this tool was the last one I'd buy. But in the store it was the only option. With great trepidation I purchased it since it was a Sunday, with only one other source option - and I LOVE my Lowes! Well, after completeing the scoring of 15-year-old wallpaper in a large bathroom, the paper is perforated, and the tool still intact. I simply followed instructions. Perhaps those with poor luck in using the Piranha Wallpaper Scoring Tool got some from a bad batch. Mine worked like a charm!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Removing wallpaper is already one of the worst home improvement projects out there. This tool makes that task even more unbearable. The first section of wall went great, tool worked perfectly. Three feet later, the scoring was not as deep, forcing me to press down on the tool. Then the squeak started...it sounded as if someone was being tortured in my wall. The sound sent my wife and daughter out of the house. I pressed on...three feet later, 2 of the scoring wheels break off, determined to finish the wall I continue. The sound of the tool lucky covers the words coming out of my mouth. Needless to say, it's going back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I typically don't write a lot of review, however, I feel compelled to write one because of how horrible this product is. I purchased 3 of them for removing wallpaper in a number of rooms in my house. All three of them broke in the first room (medium sized room). For two of them, their arms snapped off. For the third one, the two sets of inner teeth stopped rotating. Don't waste your time or money on this product. This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away from this garbage If you like frustrating exercise, then go for it. If you want a wallpaper scoring tool, go somewhere else. After scoring about a square yard, I could tell that it was losing its effectiveness. By the time I finished the second square yard, the thing was pretty useless. And even when I first started using it, I had to go over the area many, many times. This was designed by someone who never has tried to use a scoring tool and had no idea of what they were doing. I would give this zero stars if I could.
