Rated 5 out of 5 by CacJ from Great for installing engineer designed Floors I used this rubber mallet to install about 250 square feet of engineer designed hardwood flooring in my living room. The rubber mallet was strong enough to move floorboards into place and to lock in all the edges without damaging the wood. At times some of the rubber would shave off; however, I was hitting the wood pieces quite hard. I felt confident that the rubber end would stay on the wood handle and did not have to be concerned about it coming off and breaking something. The inexpensive tool was perfect for the job and it may be used again to do another floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tbooks from The rubber is as soft as an eraser The rubber is as soft as an eraser, and you can easily break a chunk off with your finger nails. Each time I hit an object with the mallet, the rubber got deformed significantly, and less than 5 minutes of use, half an inch long crack run on the rubber, and chunks fell off. I used the mallet for a light craft project (setting a snap).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrea from Great non-marring mallet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mallet was great for tapping in new rigid vinyl flooring with a very light marble pattern. I didn't have to worry about the white rubber leaving marks on the white flooring. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rubber started to wear off towards the end of the project, and it was only a 5' x 6' room.
