Why is this pergola so expensive? Buying the lumber and doing it yourself equals less than one third the cost. The large posts are $36 each x 6= $216 in Canada. The remainder of the lumber and screws is about $325. Is the labor really over $3000?

The pictures show what looks like a standard recycling bin on the floor. The inside dimensions are supposedly only 15.5" from front to back, but s standard recycle bin is 18" deep. Does anyone know what the actual inside depth is?
The inside measurement is just 18 inches deep above the floor but there is a small 1x2 board across the bottom of the front edge that acts as a door stop, so there is only about 16.5 inches of free floor space. You could sit a bin on top of it though so I think it will fit.

The best thing about this unit is the packaging
The directions are confusing. The predrilled holes don’t line up and the wood splits as well as the finish flakes off. Once I got the unit together, I put in a drawer and couldn’t get it back open! I took it back to the store in pieces. I would have given this a negative star if I could.
