- Why soft water is such an advantage around the house - not only does soft water turn tough cleaning jobs into easy work it also saves money and time-you need less soap to get clothes and dishes clean
- Tubs and bathroom fixtures are covered with an unsightly film - hard water is also tough on washing machines making them wear out up to 30% faster
- Why hard water is hard on you? hard water can turn simple household tasks into hard work - soaps and laundry detergents don't lather as well - glasses and dishes are left with spots - clothing feels coarser and colours look duller
- While these minerals are not harmful to your health, they do affect the properties of water and its effectiveness in washing and cleaning
- For high iron water areas rust remover premium formula combats issues caused by rust and removes 15 times more iron than salt
- Improves water taste and prevents rust stains in faucets and tubs
- Reduces rust build-up in water softener units
- What makes water hard? the words "hard water" describe water that contains calcium and magnesium the hardness minerals
- Rain water begins as soft water free of these minerals and as it passes over and through the earth flowing into lakes rivers streams and ground water it absorbs the hardness minerals

Added Benefit
We've been using this product for a few years now and definitely saw a difference when we switched from the regular softener salt (telltale signs of iron in sinks etc. disappeared). We use an filtration media from Germany called Ecomix that removes iron, manganese, tannins, etc. from well water. It outperforms more traditional media like Birm, Pyrolox, Filox, etc. All filtration media need to go through a regular regeneration cycle. I've been told that the Iron Reducer salt contains a small amount of citric acid in each pellet and I believe this allows the salt to do a better job of 'cleaning' the filtration media during regeneration. Hence, no more telltale iron stains.

Best salt in my opinion
I’ve been using this salt for over 7 years. I used to live in the country (now live in the city) and had my own well that had very very hard water. I started to use a cheaper brand at first but still found the water wasn’t at the level I expected from a softener. I started to use this brand and version( formerly know as rust remover) and found night and day difference. My wife could actually tell when we ran out of salt. I would definitely say it’s worth spending the couple extra dollars.

It works
I have used this in my conditioner because of iron in my well water. It has helped to decrease the staining in my sinks and toilets.
