This Whirlpool(TM) duct cover extends or replaces the chimney that comes with the hood. It is made for 9 ft. (2.7 m) to 12 ft (3.65 m) ceilings. It is backed by a 90-day warranty.

Wrong Part # for the extension chimney
I bought WVW51UC0LS hood and ordered the extension part # for 12 ft ceilings. The extension is not even close in size. I have not been able to source the correct extension chimney for this hood.

Wrong size
I have a 30” kitchen aid model kvwb400dss. I bought Extkit10es based on the research and review on Rona that this would fit my fumehood. The measurements in the review were to the 1/4 inch. Well this is the wrong kit and because it was a special online order I am not able to return it. The whole process of getting the extension kit for a fume hood is one big headache. None of the retail websites list the actual dimension of the product. Just the shipping dimension. I called whirlpool and was on hold for 3 hours without any traction on the actual product number I needed. Be warned all the big box retailers attach reviews to similar products not the exact product you might need. Still looking for the right size fan hood. But sitting on a 440$ pile of stainless steel that serves me no purpose and not feeling up to trying again.
