Description

It's designed for use with municipal and private well water supplies. This model is certified to reduce numerous contaminants, including the taste and odour of chlorine, sediments, cysts, lead, chemicals and dissolved solids. Its space saving cabinet design ensures easy installation and filter changes as it installs under the kitchen sink directly to the existing water line.

Ok we have a whirlpool reverse osmosis water filter, for some reason there is air leaking from side of the tap, bit of water leaks from tap also
This is “normal”, as the opening on the side of the tap base is used as a vacuum break for the ‘waste’ water to drain out. I just blew air into the opening and it cleared the tube into the drain. You can try to reroute the waste water tube so there are no bends that allow water to collect.

Hi, is this filter is good for soften water by whirlpool water soften.. Will this system remove excessive salt in water.. How often we will have to change the filters.. cost of filters as well?

Great water filtration system
The UltraEase Reverse Osmosis Filtration System is one of the best improvements we’ve made in our home. No solids, no metals, no harmful chemicals. Just clean, refreshing water at the simple turn of a faucet. A reasonably priced product for years of water with no impurities.

UltraEase Reverse Osmosis Filtration System review
I bought this system a few weeks ago and installed it replace a Whirlpool Wher 25 system that I have owned and used for over 20 years. I replaced it because of leaking tubing fittings and a faulty Automatic Shutoff Valve system. Post installation analysis results using a Dissolved Solids Meter shows that this system doesn’t match the performance of my old system. This indicates to me that the filters are not performing as well as the old ones I purchased before.

Good water, bad design.
We bought our first unit a few years ago and the water was great. We had the unit for about 2 years. Until one day I was in the basement and saw water raining from the floor above. The reverse osmosis unit failed and water was spraying out of the back of the unit where the case had split. After contacting whirlpool they said basically "Sorry, it's out of warranty."
So we bought another unit and changed the filters on schedule. Now after 2 years again. Water spraying from the back of the unit again and our cabinet and floor soaked again.
Also the fitting included with the unit to tap into your existing water line is plastic and has a fine thread which is very easy to cross thread and strip out if you're not careful. And the unit does NOT come with a simple shut off valve to put in line which would help if you need to turn off the water to the unit. I added one myself after the first failure.
We are very disappointed at the poor quality product from a high quality name.
We will buy another brand before buying another one of these junk built units.

Features are great
Purchased about a year ago, filters are easy to get and install, but when something goes bad such as the faucet, it is impossible to find and replace and I refuse to purchase a new system just for the faucet.

bad choice
trust is not in this product. worked fine for 2 months. Now it is at ZERO PERCENT OF CAPACITY. Change filters spend them $ on filters and still ZERO water. Call HELPLESS LINE to no avail.
The HELPLESS LINE has you disconnect this line that filter push on this check valve and that check valve and then betold to wait for the tank to fill but it never does.
The bottom line is
DON' T BUY THIS PRODUCT WHAROS5
DON'T BELIEVE LIFE TIME WARRANTY

No Parts
After a year the automatic shut off valve stopped working. But Whirlpool does not support its products in Canada. Parts are not available - so I can't fix it! The US part supplier will not ship to Canada.

Plugged in a week twice!
We bought this unit because it had decent reviews and a good price. First one was plugged in a week. Brought it back and exchanged it for a new one. Guess what! Plugged in a week! Going to take back and buy a different brand. On a positive note, I’m getting good at installing them. Lol
