Description
This Whirlpool® laundry centre resolves your laundry and space issues all at once by packing all the features of standard washers and dryers in a compact unit. You will appreciate the smooth wave stainless steel wash basket that helps prevent fabrics from snagging and the EasyView(TM) glass lid with a soft close hinge that lets you check on your load while it's washing. The washer offers 6 cycles: Clean washer, delicates, heavy-duty, normal, rinse and spin as well as 5 water temperature options. The 3.4 cu.ft dryer offers 4 drying cycles including the AutoDry(TM) drying system that prevents over drying by sensing when clothes have reached the right moisture content and stopping the cycle. The dryer exhaust options are rear, right or left. This product is backed by a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labour.

We are on a holding tank at our cottage, how much water does a typical cycle consume ?

Our washers have "Adaptive washing sensors technology" meaning it will fill up with water depending on several factors such as;
-types of fabric
-soil level
-load size
Therefore there is no specific amount of water used, each cycle is different.

Does the washer have two inlet connections on the back of the washer for a hot water connection & a cold water connection?
Hi Asha7, YWET4024HW requires two inlet hoses; one for hot water connection and one for cold water. If you are only connecting to a cold water faucet, you must use a Y-adapter (not included). You will need to connect hot water hose to the right-hand (red) inlet valve and cold water inlet valve (left-hand [blue] inlet valve). Perfect size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We opted for the smaller apartment size stacking unit for our townhouse, our laundry is located up 2 flights of stairs so this was a lightweight compact solution for hard to get to laundry in a tight space. It fits easily a queen sized sheet set with pillow cases which was our main concern about the size, we even washed our queen quilt (I don't think a comforter will fit) It's a little loud on the spin cycle otherwise relatively quiet. It came with all the necessary hardware and already stacked so all we had to do was attach the venting and plug it in. It only has the one plug for both units.

Great follow up!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I’m surprisingly happy with my small-scale laundry centre. It fits well into the allotted small space and it’s quite quiet. For a small household it’s quite fine. Though I worry about how increasingly digital machinery is becoming, in that manual controls allow for easy stop and start control. But the “pause” button gave me consolation. As a textile artist I prefer washing machines that have more control of water levels for the purpose of dying cloth for smaller loads and more intense colour saturation. This feature has gone by the wayside over the years.

Does half the job and louder vs the older machine
Bought this machine because I was in love with the previous model which I had for about 15 years. This newer model does half the job but twice as louder. The machine came broken down when delivered. They are know for this electrical panel issues straight out of the box. Only cold water wash cycle working, waiting for whirlpool tech to come fix the machine for hot water wash.
Cons: Louder humming/vibration/draining. No water level or soak option. Came broken down when delivered.
Pros: I guess this machine is good for delicate/gentle wash. Vented dryer similar to older models.

Great machine
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased this great combo washer and dryer. First of all it exceeded my expectations. The washer had lint pan built in the washer . This great idea it easy to clean . The washer has deep drum and you can wash fair size load . Has few cycles for your choice of wash . Takes roughly 38 minute a load . It isn’t to loud when running. It spins and it you hardly hear it . It has a buzzer to tell you when it’s finished your wash. The dryer is fantastic for us doesn’t take long for your clothes to dry . Dryer is quiet and no vibrations . It’s only 24 inch but Iam very happy with size and the results of this product.

A great laundry center!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little wary about purchasing a laundry center, but so far I have been extremely happy with this Whirlpool! I read a few reviews that it ranked as a top laundry center for getting cloths clean and it works great for me. It’s a lot quieter than I thought it would be and it fits the tight utility room of my condo nicely. My only complaint is that the drainage hose is about four feet and is way too short to allow for any wiggle room. I had to buy the optional extension kit for the hose and it’s not cheap!
This is a great machine for one or two people. If your a large family you might want another model with a larger capacity.
Overall.....I would highly recommend it. (but Whirlpool.....make the hose longer!)

Great washer and dryer!

Piece of crap
So noisy like a freight truck. Lower capacity than stated. Doesn't fully fill so can only do a few items. Very poor. I would not have bought this piece of crap if I had been able to try it before. Stay away from this machine.

Super Impressed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Moved into a condo which had the original laundry center from Whirpool (were talking 10 years old) and it broke down. After getting a quote, I realized it would be better to invest in a new machine. I am so glad I did. My new washer dryer is so much more efficient in terms of time, final quality of my washed clothing and the minimal amount of detergent it requires.
It significantly cut down my drying time AND washing time (24 minutes now vs. 45 before). I can do three loads in minimal time and be done my laundry within one evening for the week. The one thing to note is that the sizes are minimal, so you wouldn't be able to do your comforter (but for the few times a year I do, I'll be taking it to be done professionally).
