No need to worry about dropping off keys or losing them. We have the master number and visitors get their own. Love the autolocking feature so visitors dont accidentally forget to lock up when leaving. Very sleek and good brightness on the keypad. Apparently its meant to show when batteries are running low but we have yet to see that.

The black is such a nice sleek matte colour and it really pops on our white door, it is easy to use and was easy to program.

I spent two hours installing the lock but simply could not program a code for the life of me! Very disappointing. I read and re-read the instructions but the programming feature simply did not work for me.

Thank you so much Weiser and Influenster for choosing me to participate in this Vox Box!! The unit was relatively easy to install and I was able to program it no problem! It is SO nice to stop juggling keys when I'm trying to get in the house!! It's -33c with the windchill here right now, so having the convenience of not searching for keys in my purse is life changing! I would recommend a Weiser SmartCode touchpad to anyone, beautiful design and keeps my home secure!!! Thanks again for the opportunity to try and review this product!

When I initially went to install the Handle the hole in my door wasn’t big enough so had to cut it down with some power tools from the neighbours, once the hole was big enough it took maybe 5 mins. Works great and makes it easy access to my kids once they are home from school. Highly recommend!

Installation was easy, and only took me about a half hour by myself. I love that I can program multiple different codes into it, so each memver of the family can have their own. I also really appreciate the auto-lock feature. I can open the door for a package, and then close it and know that it will lock itself after 30 seconds. The touchpad itself is very sleek looking, and really suits my modern vibe.

This lock seems well-built and the attractive matte finish looks beautiful and seems like it will hold up well. It also matches my existing matte black handle which worked out perfectly. It appears to be a secure setup and I have had Weiser locks and handles on my home before with favourable, lasting results. Installation instructions were clear and it took a reasonable amount of time to get this set up. I love the fact that it also has the Smartkey feature that allows you to re-key the lock easily should you need to change out the physical key (although an electronic deadbolt mostly eliminates the need for a physical key, it's still a useful feature). We have had locks with this feature before and it made things super convenient and cost effective. I currently have smart locks on other exterior doors in my house, so I was able to compare functionality with those and found some areas that this particular lock could be improved. Firstly, the number pad has a thin matte plastic layer over the buttons which looks sleek and clean now, but also looks as though it will show wear (flaking/peeling) with use over time (especially when exposed to the elements and constant pushing of the same buttons). My existing locks have either physical plastic buttons or glass touch screen panels and both seem like they will hold up better with extended use than this matte plastic style. I feel this particular aspect just gives this lock a slightly cheaper/more economy feel. Secondly, the name Smartcode is slightly deceiving as this lock does not have Bluetooth or Z-Wave compatibility (that I could find) therefore it cannot be tied in with smart home products like Google Home or Alexa and cannot be controlled with your phone. This means you cannot lock/unlock or check the status of the lock remotely which for me is the primary reason to have an electronic deadbolt in my home. It is also priced similarly to locks with smart capabilities, therefore if I were buying this I would be more inclined to choose something else. Overall the quality seems good and the functionality is definitely greater than a classic lock & key setup, but if you're looking to fully integrate this lock into your smart home setup you will want to look elsewhere. I received this deadbolt complimentary from Influenster and Weiser in exchange for my honest review. Thank you for the opportunity!
