Description

The Weiser Hancock collection offers elegantly designed entry locks made of sturdy metal. The door can be opened with or without a key to offer more convenience without compromising home safety. Locking is done at the push of a button, while 16 user codes and 1 master code can be set for unlocking. The locking door lever features SmartKey(TM) technology that lets you re-key the lock to work with any selected key and use the same key on any Weiser SmartKey(TM) locks in your home. This lever features a satin nickel finish and is BHMA 2 graded for high residential security. Limited lifetime warranty on mechanical parts and 1-year limited warranty on the electronics.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JohnGA from Great lock, Hidden Danger Purchased as a convenience to simplify entry between house and garage. Problem free easy installation, very clear instructions and great look. However it has now presented one very real unforeseen and unintended DANGER. Unlike the lock it replaced, the indoor lever cannot be disabled or immobilized. The 2 year old grandson in our care can readily move the leaver to open the door and a) can easily be hurt by the closer-fitted door, b) will surely fall down the steep stairs immediately beyond the door upon exiting, and c) be trapped in the garage when the lock-enabled door closes behind him. Needless to say we would never have purchased this lock had we know about this deficiency. For those without a curious toddler I would recommend this lock, else don’t add danger to your life.
