Description
Halifax entry lever by Weiser(R) features a minimalist design with satin nickel finish bringing sophistication to contemporary decors. This entry knob/lever can be locked or unlocked by a key on the outside, or push button on the inside, which is perfect for exterior doors that require a higher level of security. This reversible lever mounts on both left- and right-handed doors, and comes with a latch that has 2 interchangeable faceplates: round corner and square corner. Latch has an adjustable backset 2-3/8-in to 2-3/4-in to fit all standard door preparations. Installation requires only the use of a screwdriver. Built-in SmartKey Security(TM) technology protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows you to re-key your lock yourself in seconds. SmartKey Security(TM) re-key technology is compatible with Kwikset (KW1) keyway or (SC1) keyway options.

I realise the details say Residential Grade, but what is the specific ANSI rating applicable to this keyed handset? I ask because my existing exterior door handles are a state ANSI grade and I don't want to get anything of 'lesser' secure rating...

Can all the locks have the same key?
Weiser Metropolitan Boutique Halifax Universal-Handed Keyed Entry Door Lever comes with Smartkey technology. The Smartkey technology allows rekeying the lock at any time to the other Weiser key. SmartKey products can be re-keyed at the consumer level by following the re-keying instructions, but is not compatible with other brands.

I bought and installed this handle and the push button lock doesn't work. When locked from the inside it can only be unlocked from outside with the key. Any pointers? This isn't that safe seeing as it locks you inside your house. Thanks!

Quality feel and weight
Bought this to replace another similar Weiser Smart Key entry lock that failed after a couple of years. The internals are a different design to the old one, and it must weigh twice as much (hopefully indicators of higher quality, worthy of expectations of the Weiser name and price). Not a fan of the square base but for the sale price, figured I'll give it a try.
