Description

The Prodeso cable installation membrane is an uncoupling membrane that is designed to be used with TempZone electric floor heating cable*. This 54 sq. ft. roll of the membrane is great for use in small rooms like guest bathrooms. The unique design of the membrane allows greatly accelerated installations of radiant floor heating—in fact, most floor heating installs with this membrane can be completed in a single day. The polypropylene membrane features integrated channels are shaped to easily and securely hold the 3.7-watt TempZone Heating Cable.

Is this price for the membrane only or does it include the heating cable?

Lowe's has different packages. Some include a kit which has the heating cable, prodeso membrane and a thermostat. Others are sold as separate items, such as just the membrane or just the heating cable or just the thermostat. If you find a kit that includes the right length of cable and membrane you can save a bit of money. And you can order extra membrane if you wish. You have to make sure that the heating cable length is the correct length because you can't cut or splice the cable, so if you order a kit you have to make sure that the cable length is the correct length for your room(s). The WarmlyYours website has a calculator that recommends the correct amount of cable and membrane depending on the square footage of your floor.
