My picture shows actual leg
As someone mentioned, the picture is incorrect, well kind of. It's the leg you will get, you will just get a more compressed version, lacking a couple of details probably due to its limited space (6in). The shadow shows that it has an octagon shape on the top. The one pictured is probably for a 15in leg rather than a 6in. These are actually very cute, the issue I had was that when my husband brought them home, they were all slightly different. My local lowes only had 4 in stock and they appeared to be cut by two different machines. Would be better if the bolts were longer too.

good little leg
I got 2 of these for center supports on two 5' long cabinets. They are not 3" in diameter as stated in the specifications; they are only 2" in diameter. A little disappointed in that, hence the 4 rating. I don't care about the pre-inserted posts because I took them out and used my own method. I painted them to match the cabinets and they look just fine. I wish there was more to choose from in heftier diameters.

Fundamentally defective
The product comes with the metal post pre-inserted. The metal post has a wood thread on one end and a machine thread on the other (as it should). Unfortunately, the wood is too soft to hold the metal peg in place. It pulled out with minimal force. Either the wood thread needs to be much larger or it needs to be epoxied in place. I purchased 4, and after the peg pulled out of one, I returned the other 3.

This is not the leg you get in the store
The measurements are not correct and the leg looks nothing like the picture it is not turned round it is an octagon cut very disappointed that I had to go to 3 different stores before I could get an associate to tell me that the item pictured was a different leg with the same sku# and Lowe's does this allot

Good Leg. Good Price
Yes, as others have mentioned, the picture is woefully inaccurate. This leg is 6” in length and I have used them to build at least 100 blanket chests over the last 2 years. The price is right and they hold up well. A little sanding is needed and you have to be a little picky sometimes when choosing these legs. I have had only one instance where the lag screw pulled out. A minor fix. 5 stars.

Only 6 inches, not 9
Went to the store to get these 9-inch legs for a project, and found that they are actually only 6 inches tall. There were no others of that style closer to 9 inches, so I will have to add a section at the top to make up the full height needed. The website needs to be corrected to avoid misrepresentation like this. I don't take going to the store very lightly during the pandemic, so I felt I had to buy the closest available item. Had I known the truth, I would have looked elsewhere and saved the trip, since I live a distance from the store.

I just wanted to point out that in the description it says it is hardwood. Pine is considered a soft wood unlike Oak, Maple, etc. They should and may have intended to say that it is "solid" wood, not hollow or something. It's Pine.

Stool Legs
Built a small stool for a grand daughter 4 years ago, now she has a younger sister who wants it all the time. Nice to find the same legs for another build.
