Hi i am using valspar sealent is it good on aggreagate driveway ? How many quotes do i apply ? Do i need to reseal every year ? Doea the wet look high gloss item is sleepery after application ?

Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. Test surface porosity before sealing: Avoid using this product on nonporous, sealed surfaces. To test, place a few drops of water on the surface. If water sinks in, the surface is porous enough to use this finish. If water remains on the surface, do not use. Apply only when surface and air temperature are 50–90 °F (10–32 °C). Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces, or areas prone to ponding water. Dries to the touch in 1–2 hours. Recoat after 2 hours. Dries hard overnight. Apply with a roller, brush or low-pressure garden sprayer. If the first coat sinks in rapidly, apply a second coat after 2 hours. Allow to soak for 10–15 minutes — or until pores are completely sealed. Wipe off excess from the surface before the sealer dries. Will the finished look be darker on exposed aggregate if I apply additional coats? And if so, what would be the maximum number of coats recommended? Should I be using a different product to get a deeper darker look to my driveway? Thank you in advance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EdwH from Works I have been using this product for over 5 years. Sealing a new concrete driveway, always use a deep penetrating sealer, first. Then using Valspar on a regular basis every year here in Niagara Falls Ontario. Canada. Simple, power wash the driveway, the next day using a sprayer just put a light coat on it. Nothing lasts, more is Not better. Accept the fact for rain snow ice hail, you have to do it every year.
