Great asset for making learning fun in any space!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 4' X 8' whiteboard we purchased was to expand our teaching and working spaces within our science and engineering labs at our university. We were able to cut the sheets to fit our available spaces and even made smaller 18" X 24" portable white boards for our students to work at anyplace they wish within the lab. We custom cut sizes to fit in various wall spaces and the students are finding the expanded workspace to be really useful! The quality of the whiteboard sheets was great and the cost was minimal for the return! I would recommend these whiteboards for any space and a mulitude of purposes!

Great budget market board
This board is great for a budget marker board. Two things to keep in mind:
1. Make sure to smooth the board to the wall before screwing into a stud. Otherwise you may have some bulges appear over time.
2. Be careful how long you leave ink on the board. After a couple of days of sitting on the board, the ink will stain. The longer you leave it, the worse the stain. After 3 to 4 days, the stain is easily removed with alcohol. Upwards of a week and you're looking at some permanent staining (although it is still very subtle).
All in all, a great marker board for a home office. Would also be great for kids.

Great product!
This board is great! The only complaint I have against it is how the store(s) handle it. When I went to pick some up, most of the pieces had damaged corners from how they had it placed on the shelf. Nothing against the product itself, but just wish the stores would handle materials like this with the proper care so it doesn't end up damaged. Luckily for me, I knew I would be cutting it to size, so I just cut off both ends so there were no damaged corners!! It looks great, is a thicker board that seems like it should last a long time and hold up well!! Overall, I'm very satisfied with it and am already planning on buying more to use in another spot!!

The white coating peeled off when I taped to caulk
I installed this in the bathroom because of its moisture resistance. I had it completely installed , perfect cuts .. tight seams,, and after installing the fixtures, I taped off a tight 1/8 area.. to caulk finish the very professional job , and Bam ,,, the white finish peeled off the whole edge of the sheet ! I was like are you kidding me . It wasn't like I pressed hard on the tape, or even had the tape on the sheet for more than 5 minutes... ! AND it was below 60 degrees in there .. I cant imagine the damage that would have happened in 90 degrees .. leaving tape on there for a day ! So Now what ? Demo the entire project to get 20 dollars refunded ? NEVER again will I use this stuff

Great quality
We bought this to replace the backing on a shelf unit and it worked great for it, except that the Lowe's manager cut it too big and we had to cut it down at home making two not-so-smooth- edges instead of four smooth edges on all sides.
I really wish that the employees who do the cutting were better at using a tape measure, somehow he turned 28 3/4" into 29 1/2", and did nearly the same amount of change on the other cut. They have don't this before but always cut it too small so we had ot go back and buy more, this time we were able to fix it at home and save the expense of buying another one.
Product is good, the cut was bad.

Excellent For A Train Track Setup
I was looking for something to build a train track on for our son but I did not really want to use any kind of plywood. I did want something with a slick finished surface that was durable, flexible and easy to move around. This White/Gloss Hardboard Wall Panel works perfectly and hot glue will stick to the surface which is what we used to secure the track and houses. We are still in the building stage but this has met off of our requirements.

Good Product but BE CAREFUL which adhesive you use
Overall this wall board was a great product. We bought it to cover the walls of a nursery, but we put it up with Liquid Nails, in a brownish color, and after a day of drying, the adhesive bled through to the white side of the board. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to paint over the whole thing to make it white again, since it is already secured to my wall. :( Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Great value
This was a great product for the price. The white hardboard panel is actually white on one side and plain brown hardboard on the other (it wasn't a problem for me, but you might want to know that ahead of time if you are expecting white on both sides). I bought it to use as a whiteboard panel in an easel I was making. Worked great with the dry erase crayons I tested on it, and at about 10 bucks for a 4x8 sheet, is cheap enough to replace in a couple years if it does stop accepting dry erase ink as well. I used the brown side to coat with grey primer and Rustoleum chalkboard paint - it came out a perfect chalkboard for the other half of the easel. If you are looking for a cheap and/or large whiteboard, this is what you want. If, like me, you want both a chalkboard and a whiteboard, go for one panel of white hardboard rather than buying one white and one plain. The plain one is a couple bucks cheaper, but if you are already buying a whole 4x8 panel of the white hardboard, just use the back of it to make a chalkboard.
