Can this housing be used with either VC1 or LR1 filters?
Yes Rainfresh carbon cartridges including Lowe's 107920 (Model CA1 - chloramine & chlorine filter cartridge), Lowe's 271758 (Model VC1 - chemical & chlorine filter cartridge) and Lowe's 271756 (Model LR1 - lead, chemical and chlorine filter cartridge) can be used with this unit. For best results, the flow rate from the faucet should be reduced to less than 3 litres per minute.

The replacement cartridge can be purchase at your Local Lowe's store or online at Lowes.ca. The replacement cartridge is Rainfresh model CF2 or Lowe's item number 271764.

I bought this to replace a on-tap filter that was always a pain. With this one, the water tastes soo much better, I find myself heading downstairs for the kitchen in the middle of the night as I don't want to drink the water from the bathroom tap! It doesn't leak and was moderately tricky to install using plex connectors.
