I would highly recommended it to others wanting a clean, fresh look! The added bonus is it how nicely it blocks out the sun. I have a wide bedroom window that used to allow a lot of sun on in my room, which worked against my dark walls and the theater-feeling I was trying to create with my HD flat screen tv. This curtain rod allows me to shift the light carefully while still making the room cozy and elegant. The best thing about the rod is cost, which was half what other double rods sold for in retail stores, but none of those had the ability to truly darken a room so this is a win-win-win!!!!

I found it very simple to put up on my own which is so important to me. I enjoy the look of it because it gives a modern flair to my room. I enjoy having dark curtains to keep my room dark when appropriate, but this curtain rod gives me the additional option of putting a sheer curtain on the inside so that I can allow light into the room without people being able to see in. I was able to adjust the length to make it fit right for my window as well. I'm looking forward to getting more for my other windows to have this option for multiple rooms in my house.

By using this particular rod I'm able to have both a sheer curtain as well as a room darkening curtain hanging at the same time. It was super easy to expand and install across our window. I like that it's adjustable so you can use it as wide as you need. My curtains fit on it very well and are easy to slide back and forth on the bars to open and close them. It holds the front curtain out just enough that you can easily slide it back and leave the second curtain in the back shut. I would definitely recommend for anyone needing a two curtain solution.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Heidi from Decent but not exceptional I bought this a little over a month ago and while we’re pleased with the purchase, it’s taken us awhile to get there. We have had the worse time getting the brackets to lay flat on the wall and not pull themselves down. We’ve had to move the curtain three times to three different spots on our wall because it wouldn’t stay secured to the wall. We had to get really creative in getting this to hang correctly, not to mention getting it to stay up. We wound up using some really heavy-duty wall anchors when regular ones wouldn’t cut it. The curtains we used were normal, not heavy or unique on any way. Now that it’s up and in place we like it, but wouldn’t buy it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kristin from Nice curtain rod, poor description I bought this about a month ago. It looks great and was easy to install. The downside is the brackets slide on from the top to bottom. I had hoped to hang this at the highest part of my ceiling but that is jot possible due to the brackets sliding too to bottom. The curtains I bought to use with it now hang too long and Im in a bit of a pickle to fond curtains that are the correct size to use with this curtain rod. Please update the description to say the rod connects by sliding onto the bracket from the top and requires 1-2” of clearance above the preferred bracket location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Daniel25 from Good appearance design, poor structural design It's fine. The curtain rod does the job more or less. It looks good and seems solidly built. however there are two shortcomings in particular that have disappointed. One, as the rods are expandable, there is of course a point where the inner rod and the the outer rod meet. When pulling the curtains across this point, the curtain rings always catch, which is incredibly annoying. I would have liked to see this smoothed out. Two, the wall mount brackets are fairly small, have only two small screws each, and do not brace against the wall. In turn the brackets have pulled out the top screw and wall anchor off the wall. I will probably have to repair this with construction glue or another solution.

It’s a chrome color, very easy to install on your wall. Comes with necessary instructions and screws, you just need to install yourself. Took me about 10-20 minutes, I love that I’m able to use a sheer curtain first then a thicker darker curtain to go over it. The room stays pretty dark after using two different curtains, this is a definite must have. I love when my house stays cool or warm, depending on the year. I’m defiantly going to buy more of these curtain rods soon, love for my house to stay dark!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Phoebe from Please get rid of Umbra anchor screws The curtain rod is exactly what I was looking for (please check the product description for detailed dimensions.) I like that I can have two layers of curtains: I used a gauzy, light-weight curtain for the inner rod, and heavy, blackout curtains for the outer rod. However, I must continue to protest and point out that the plastic anchor screws provided broke way too easily. I would suggest that the manufacturer add extra, more sturdy anchor screws to accommodate the loss of the faulty ones. The anchor screws are Umbra brand and made with brittle plastic that break at the slightest hit even when there is a sufficient pilot hole. Apart from the faulty hardware, this was a good purchase. Be prepared to buy extra anchor screws to replace the broken ones.
