Description
Type 1 is a professional-grade, traditional, nonflammable, organic adhesive for setting impervious, vitreous, semivitreous and nonvitreous tile over gypsum drywall (walls only), cement board, exterior-grade plywood, concrete and masonry block. This adhesive is used for interior applications only. Type 1 meets or exceeds ANSI A136.1, Type 1 requirements.
- Suitable substrates: Gypsum wallboard (dry walls only), cement board, exterior-grade plywood (interior only), concrete and masonry block
- For use with ceramic and porcelain tile
- For use on shower walls
- Smooth and easy to spread premixed adhesive

Works well for ceramic subway tile backsplash
I found spreading the adhesive took a little more effort than normal mortar but the tiles stayed on the wall well. I did my backsplash over two days and I had some continuation issues the next day. However, I was still able to remove tiles I laid the day before without too much issue. Phew! I was able to grout after 24 hours, no movements to the tiles. I'm happy with the product.
