As usual, this curtain rod is magnificent putting in evidence every bit of the curtain itself. Its simplicity and soft curves makes it ideal for a finished look that is smooth, modern and just perfect. It is a sturdy rod that holds well. Moreover, the fact that you do not need 'holder brackets' on each side, makes your curtain run through without getting caught anywhere. Umbra, did I mentioned how much I love you? (lolll)

The rod twists into the end brackets making the rod held in place and not sliding on brackets like other rods. Very modern and rich looking! The price is unbelievably a steal for the quality! I would have paid 4X the price for this curtain rod! Super easy to install and I’m so happy with this purchase!

I've never cared for that space at the end of the curtains that is, well, just open. I always wished there was something that would wrap around and just look more finished. These answer that question. I love, love these curtain rods. And again, I am not using them for room darkening. Just too make my curtains look more finished and high end custom. Thank you to whoever thought the wraparound design. So simple and so perfect. The simple things are often the very best!

Installation was easy, and the rod is designed in such a way that you don't need to be precise down to the millimeter with your placement of the anchors. It looks great and easily supports a heavy blackout curtain! It was so inexpensive as well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LAH1958 from Can't hang close to ceiling Note that you can't hang these close to the ceiling because you need room to slide the bracket on to the hanging hardware from above. The bottom of the bracket should be at least 3 1/2" from ceiling. We have limited space above the window frames because of ductwork above them. Other than that, they look really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trono from Functional, attractive, and easy to install This rod spans a 100 inch wall opening for a bedroom bay window in our typical 100+ year old Toronto gable-and-bay style semi, with 10 inches on either end to insure good light blockage. We are pleased that the shallow rod does in fact block more light than conventional rods. The blackout curtains are very heavy and with the middle rod support, there is great stability. As always with Umbra products, the design is as striking as it is functional. Installation was a simple matter of measuring, marking, and drilling as per the very clear instructions. Great value for the money.
