This product is 20 feet in length. If I need the length to be 16 feet. Is it advisable to cut 4 feet using a utility knife?
Hi! Yes, it is easy to use a utility knife to cut through this. Just make sure it's sharp.
We cut through this no problem to shape the carpet to our balcony.
We are very happy with this product, and it has drainage holes.

Really happy with this for our balcony floor
I wasn't sure that the length of the pile would be OK for our balcony floor because we used to have a shorter pile (like a putting green) previously, and this one is a higher pile. But it's great and we're really enjoying it. What I like is there are small holes in the rubber for drainage, and using a sharp sturdy utility knife was sufficient to cut this to the size and shape we needed. We've been using it for about 2 weeks now and love it. So glad this option was available, because we shopped around at various places that sold this in rolls, and due to the size dimensions we needed, we would have spent much more and wasted a lot had we gone with buying it from a roll.

Great but….
Bought 4 x rolls of the 15x6 grass. Great product, easy to install, the only frustrating part is the last foot of product on the roll is nearly unusable. Because of the small tight roll, the start of the grass on the roll is crushed, wrinkled and unusable. Tried for two days to flatten it out. All four rolls were the same. Had to cut off between 1-2 ft lengths off each roll. Even the heavy rubber bottom was wrinkled. Good thing I purchased an extra roll for hundreds of dollars.
