Warped
Bought this kit for a deck we've built all ourselves. I expect that with prepackaged wood they would at least make sure it's decent quality. The wood rails were terribly warped..we managed to get the one to fit after forcing it into the bracket with reinforcing of some screws. In the process of trying to get it to fit the plastic bracket to hold it into place also busted. While these may have been a cheaper option than picking out our own boards it still is pricey when you are having to buy several kits..and all of them warped and crappy quality. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Overall a good product but needs improvement.
Pros: easy installation, all in one product, Aesthetically pleasing,
Cons: a bit pricy, only one option for rail type (would prefer no decorative grooves along top and bottom railing, the rail brackets don’t fit snug. You have to make sure everyone is cantered. For ease of use brackets should be snug it takes a lot of time to centre each one. the screws that come with the brackets are useless. I used the silver screws that came with this product and they stripped out every time. After I installed two of these railing systems I removed all the screws and replaced them with the deck screws I was using. A much better option to use deck screws.
Overall I’m happy with the product but some improvements are needed.

Milled rails are attractive but weaken the railing
Overall these rails will transform your deck - even if it is only a foot or two from the ground. It is remarkable how little they obstruct your view. They allow you to use your deck right to the edge. It feels like they make your deck 50% larger. They are relatively quick and easy to install. The most time consuming part is installing the posts. The best way by far is to install the posts when the deck is built so they can be secured directly to the deck frame using carriage bolts (and ideally continuing to the ground on concrete piers and saddles. We were retrofitting so I had to notch out 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of each post and mount it to the face plate using 2 3/8 inch carriage bolts. If you don't already have joist hangers installed, it's a good idea to install them (using the special screws rather than nails) on the joists on either side of where you install the post. You will be pleased with the result.
We have over 100 ft of this product on two decks. We also have 50 feet of a competing brand on our cottage deck. The competing brand does not mill the predrilled 2X4 rails which leaves them considerably more rigid and stronger. On this product at least 1/3 of the 2X4 is milled away to make the attractive contour on the rail. This is a big deal if your deck is higher off the ground. This product is more attractive but feels less secure (the rails flex). The other brand also has more substantial (heavier duty) mounting brackets and screws. Personally, I would not install this on a second floor deck if you are using the full six foot spans - unless you add an additional flat 2X4 over the top rail for added strength. That would make it more bulky and block more view - and also defeat the purpose of the nicely contoured rails.
The stainless steel mounting screws are quite short and thin and they strip very easily (Phillips heads). If you plan to also use this on stairs, make sure they have the stair kit in stock. Each kit comes with only one set of mounting brackets. You will almost certainly need extra mounting brackets for those shorter sections where you are using one kit for two short sections. Those brackets cost $7.00 for 2 and you need 4 for every section.
These come in a pre-packaged box, so you don't get to select the rails for knots, twists, and curves. While generally of good quality, some came with warped rails.

Great looking railing
Choose this railing rather then the typical aluminum product. Love the look, was easy to install and we’re very please with the results. As mentioned in other reviews the only issue we found was warped rails but Rona allowed us to sort through kits to insure we had strait material. Very happy with results
