Did the job, looks good
Recently bought this item to refinish a large deck. The deck square footage is around 300 sq feet. The lower half was finished with a different Thompson Water Seal product several years ago. That one did not hold up well. Wanted an oil based finish this time but in Canada that can be hard to find. The upper deck was never stained in the past. We used 3 cans total, intermixing all 3 cans as instructed. Some colour variation in spots, but most likely due to how different boards soaked up the oil. Care was taken to not use to much as some reviews said if applied to thick it does not dry properly. Over all pleased with the product. Most other stains out there are more paint than stain these days. Just be careful when washing with a pressure washer when prepping, the product does show the difference in wood grain caused by it (can be seen on after photo of upper deck)

Good finish
The finish looks good and I had done some homework before applying but learned some lessons.
Just use a roller on a deck. I did the first 1/2 with a flat applicator and it didn't apply a thick enough coat. I redid the first 1/2 and now have 2 tones. The roller covered far better and more evenly.
I mixed 2 containers each time for an even colour, but know that every time you open the can it's a different color so best to do it all at one time.
The finish is great, feels like it will really protect my deck.
