If you get one that works...
I purchased four of these in order to shine light on plants I have to move into the shed during freezes. I brought them home and tested them. One blew out immediately and when I tried to unscrew it from the socket, it broke off. Obviously it was cracked from the get go. Back to Lowe's to exchange it. The next day when I had to bring the plants in and set up the lights. I flicked the switch and another one blew, but at least it wasn't cracked. Back to Lowe's to exchange it. As of right now, all four are in working order and doing the job.

Poor lifespan - 600 hours on 2000 hour label
I have purchased several of these light bulbs for house plants in a basement entertainment room and became suspicuous at how fast they seemed to burn out. I kept a record this last time and got just over 600 hours use on a bulb rated to last 2000 hours. No envirnomental conditions present that would contribute to a reduction of normal use.

Plugged one in, it flashed, then went dead. I'm going to take the other back.

not impressed
I bought six of these so I could bring my plants indoors during the winter. I have using them no more than a month for about 8-10 hours a day. One burned out after 2-weeks.

Sylvania Spot Grow
While it works it is great but they burn out way too soon. Not very long lasting. My flowers and ferns thrive but I keep having to replace them. I will be looking for a better alternative.

Burned Out On 2nd Day
I bought 2 of these yesterday, on 7/31/2016 and one of them just burned out a few minutes ago. Can't return them because I threw out the boxes yesterday. Will never buy these again.
