It’s made from triangles nailed to a 2x4
It’s made from triangles nailed to a 2x4. The triangles are attached with galvanized nails through the top of each triangle, and up from the bottom. Because there are nails on the top and bottom, it’s impossible to shorten the stringer slightly so that the steps are level and it fits the vertical space. In order to trim the 1” I need to trim, I would need to totally disassemble this. It will be less work to return them, and make my own from a 2x12. Save your time and money and just make your own.

Misleading description & specs.
I drove over 45 minutes to buy this product as it is advertised as using 2” x 12” stringer. I bought 4 and went to the yard. I measured the stringer, it is made from pieces that measure 9.5” equivalent to a 2”x10” board. I got a refund and a “sorry” meanwhile I used a 1/4 tank of gas to get a sorry and waste an hour and half with the drive
