Great Value, Understand the Limits
Very good little chopper (it's really not so much a chipper or shredder) at a great price, a real value! 2 things to be aware of, this is not an industrial wood chipper and it does take time to feed it. If your processing real hard fresh cut wood (like black oak), you need to cut down on the size/diameter of the wood by maybe 20% +/- but softer woods (like sweet gum) are no problem, you just need to feed it thru the hole provided. We've used it all day long on several days (had a huge backlog of cut scrub and trees) and it has performed very well, no problems. Overall a great buy for residential work to produce good, usable mulch from what would be waste.

Good for branches
I am using that to turn branches into mulch for strawberries. I am amazed at the large size of branches it will turn into mulch. Not good for leaves or small twigs, but for my purposes it is very good. It appears to have cup holders on the back. Wrong place for drinks. The drinks will end up with twigs and things in them. If you get one, there is a rocker button with forward and reverse. There is a third position for the button in the middle. The motor will not turn on if the button is in the middle position. If the machine will not turn on, make sure the button is firmly pushed in the forward position.

Nice chipper
Does the job for the price.
1. Before use, remove the blade housing plate and lubricate the plate bushing. I used regular motor oil. Check occasionally, depending frequency of usage.
2. If chipper does not cut small twigs, adjust pressure plate with adjustment knob on side. Manual says to do it with unit off. Adjust it until it will chop a hair.
3. Occasionally, after I finish chipping, I spritz some WD40 on the cutter blade, while it's in operation, thru the shute. This keeps the blade from rusting if it will not be used for a while.
This unit does the job for which it was intended.

Really amazed
I tried out today my CJ603E chipper, this baby has power chipping, there was no effort for this machine it just kept grinding up the branches.
Some were just able to go through the input opening but this guy just chewed them up and wanted more.
I have another chipper, made in Germany and at more then double the price of Sun Joe, jammed up more times then working times and with smaller branches.
I can not give Sun Joe enough praise three times the chipper at less then one-half the price.
I cleaned up a large pile of Evergreen branches and not once did the Sun Joe jam or quit.

Very pleased with CJ603E
Works well, heavier to move than I thought.
Somewhat slow and a bit fussy about the size of branches that will, but once you get the hang of it everything is fine
All assembly tools included and instructions clear, but better off to use a ratchet wrench.
Parts on axels already attached and needed to be removed.
This is a good because you know what attaches to what and there are no missing parts.
The collection bag fills quickly so somewhat useless.
The bag is however perfect to store protective wear (goggles and ear protection), extension cord, and paddles. I already have battery powered blower (snow and leaf) and chain saw.
As soon as my lawnmower dies, I will replace it with one from SunJoe.

The little chipper that can
We used it over the weekend, 3-4h without problems, the machine will take a short break whenever the bag got full. We chipped 2 huge piles of branches trimmed from 3 trees down to almost nothing! Once you get the hang of it, the pace and capacity, it goes relatively quickly as the machine self-feed. Rated 92dB, while not exactly quiet, it's not that bad with some earplugs. Just make sure the chute below doesn't get cloged up by keeping an eye on pile below. Seems to be well built with safety push to start/stop forward/stop/reverse controls.

Very Good For Small Yards
As long as the buyer is aware of exactly what this equipment's capabilities are, this can be a worthwhile addition to one's garden tools. In my opinion, this is perfect for a small yard but will not replace a more powerful gas motor shredder / chipper for larger lots.
As others have pointed out, it does tend to clog up at the outlet but feeding slowly and observing the output for slow downs pretty much takes care of that problem. It has a metal blade and the abilitly to adjust the size of the chipped output. In input opening is not very big but has handled tree scraps at 1/2 inch in diameter with no problems.

Great product, performed better than expected.
The unit performed really well, and this project required 2+ hours at a stretch to get the job done. I chipped mainly Crape Myrtle trimmings and you can see by the photos the chips/mulch came out pretty well. I ran the chunkier bits back through which reduced them further. Before I began I wanted to see how the mechanism functioned, to give me a sense of limitations (photo included for that purpose). Rather than use the small collection bag, I sat the unit in an industrial sand bag so I could keep chipping. I did use ear and eye protection, as well as gloves. Best lengths will be 10-18". One batch I had cut too small. This batch was not destined for this chipper and had difficulty getting into the teeth, this needed coaxing but did get chipped. At the end of the job I opened the unit again and noticed lots of fine material had collected inside the housing. I vacuumed, and used a blower to clean it. I also scrubbed the blade to remove residue build up. Great product, performed better than expected.
