Wrong product was shipped to me, right amount was charged to me. I contacted customer service to get correct product and was essentially told I had to go to the store. The store was confused by this and had a difficult time making things right for me. They did ultimately take care of me but why in the world would I have to go to the store to resolve online Lowes error! I was one of two people at my local Lowes getting an issue like this resolved that day! Many other companies can take much better care of you online, guess who will not be using Lowes....

Rated 1 out of 5 by John from Not fire resistant. Gives off smoke. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This screen looks great and fit nicely in front of my fireplace. I love the sliding doors. But when I actually started a fire in the fireplace, this screen started smoking, perhaps due to the paint on the screen not being heat-resistant. It was filling the house with smoke (since it fits in front of the fireplace, not inside it), so I had to remove it. It seems to me that a fireplace screen that can't be close to a fire is a pretty worthless product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Eb from Foot screw stripped [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I thought I was crazy but I just read a review with the same issue. One of the four screws to the feet is stripped. To the point I thought I purchased an already opened product. Needless to say I will return. The manufacturer should really get this under control. Maybe not install the screws and leave them in the box?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pam from Great design This has a nice flat fit against the opening but what's great is the panels on either side slide open for easy access for cleaning or tending to the fire. It's a good price also. Leaving the fire exposed without the screen covering is easy to do by sliding the panels opened if u would like to watch the fire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Raybo from Better than expected We are very pleased with this fireplace screen. It is exactly what we wanted. The product picture seems to show a gap between the two sliding screen doors but there is a lip on one of them so you don't need to worry about an errant spark sneaking through. We like the sleek modern style. It is flat against the fireplace and the sliders are very convenient for tending the fire. We did not have any problems with stripped threads as mentioned in other reviews. In fact the screws were already threaded into the holes when unpacked so maybe this was a quality control measure due to past complaints.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brian from NOT HEAT TOLERANT Used this 2x and noticed a strong chemical smell filling my house while using the fireplace. As I approached the fireplace I noticed the frame of this fireplace screen was smoking and the powder coat bubbling. I had to quickly take it outside and open all of the windows. I would not recommend this for a wood burning fireplace as its cheap powder coated metal. I will be returning and looking for a better screen made of iron.
