Description
These Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Drive® SD connectors screws are constructed to replace nails in applications where screws may offer better performance and convenience. The steel structural screws have a galvanized coating that makes them ideal for interior and exterior use. They exceed typical single-fastener load values, and have a hex head with washer that prevents cam-out and head stripping. With their sharp point and serrated thread, the structural screws deliver fast starts and reduce torque for easy installation.
- Tested and approved for use in many of Simpson Strong-Tie's best-selling connectors for both interior and most exterior applications
- Ideal for use in connector applications where more control is desired or using a hammer is inconvenient
- 1/4-in hex head with 0.37-in diameter integrated washer reduces cam-out and is stamped with the Simpson Strong-Tie "no equal" sign and the fastener size for easy identification after installation
- Shank is specifically designed to match the fastener holes in Simpson Strong-Tie connectors
- Optimized heat treating for ductility and strength
- Size: #10 x 1-1/2-in
- Hex driver included
- Mechanically galvanized, Class 55 coating meets the requirements for use in preservative-treated and fire-retardant-treated wood per the 2012 and 215 IRC
- Quantity: 100

These are the quality you'd expect from Simpson.
Screws are substantial in specification high in quality.
The addition of the hex head drive bit made it quick and easy to install.

Good first impression
I have just barely started using these. I will need at least one season maybe a whole year to really decide if these screws are worth the time and cost. They went into the posts well and seem to be holding tightly. Good beginning.

Joist Hanger Fasteners
Used these screws to attach joist hangers to ledger boards and the work went quicker than expected. You can find cheaper alternatives to the Simpson brand but I was impressed with the sturdiness of construction. Will continue to buy this brand.

dependable
You get exactly what you expect! Solid material with consistent threads made building our deck that much easier. We could depend on every screw picked up to be exactly as expected.

There are different sizes and thickness available.
Great for attaching connectors although the packaging could be better. The boxes always fall apart.
