Can the door be installed on the left side and the window on the right?
I don't think so. The wall panels are pre-cut for a specific arrangement of the window.

Would it be possible to add wood floor after the fact
This needs to be built on the wood base including plywood that is not included. Yes wood flooring can be added after building but it does require the plywood floor to be built first.

Would adding a couple roof vents be advantageous ?
Absolutely! Had mine for just about a year and given some of the heatwave days we have had recently, the shed is worse than a sauna. I plan to put a couple in as soon as I have a chance myself.

I am pouring a concrete pad to put this shed on. i understand i have to create a sill plate, but do i still need to put a wood floor in , or can i leave it concrete?
I would leave it concrete

Can the shed be shortened from 12' to 10' ?
You could shorten it but you would have to cut 2ft. off the roof boards and the front wall and back wall plus the floor boards. Plus the door opening would have to be moved over. A bit of work . FYI I have put up 2 sheds and I would recommend using screws instead of the cheap nails they supply.

What is the size of this unit in its package
Mine was packaged all together in one 4’ x 8’ Box about 24” high. It was packaged quite well, boxed and then shrinkwrapped. It is quite heavy though, I think it’s listed around 950lbs

Is it possible to have the door on either side (left or right). There is a picture of the door on the left and another picture of the door on the right
Looking straight at it the doors are to the right you can not change the side of the door.

Good shed, follow directions and you will be fine
There were 3 of us working on this shed with assistance from other family members. The list below is a good guide to building this shed.
1. Spent $163 on roofing supplies, buying everything they mention (not nails, we had those)
2. Spent $50 on paint
3. Spent $300 on construction assistant
4. Spent $100 on paint assistant
5. Spent $30 on gutters & registers
6. 3 workers took 24 hrs building it on 3 weekends, had one major modification of back wall to accommodate a riding mower (wasn't necessary, we just did it). The directions are clear and extensive--read and follow the book on building this shed. It is an intermediate to advanced project.

Poor Floor design, the rest is good.
This is a nice shed in most respects but it has one major but easily correctable flaw in its design. The shed is 8 ft deep by 12 ft wide. When building the floor, for appropriate strength you will need to buy 2 boards 2x4x12ft for the header joists (front and back of the base). The company supplies an 8 ft and a 4 ft board to cover that 12 ft span but that causes you to use a weak butt joint in the middle of the area of greatest load. Fortunately using a single 12 ft board instead cheaply fixes this problem.
The rest of the shed is quite nice and the instructions are easy to follow. The shed is attractive and quite useful.

pretty good shed
kit went together pretty well. The wood wasnt any worse than you get at the lumberyard, you have to be selective as to what goes where when you build. I did buy extra 2x3's before hand beacuse I wanted to add extra wall studs and supports for the trusses, so I was able to be selective with the wood that way. My advise is to buy descent screws before you start. Get #8 woodscrews with the robbie head. The ones provided in the kit are all phillips head and can cause you a lot of grief. They are almost tight, then the head starts skipping... frustrating. great kit though, once I went with the robbie screws, life went well :)

Great Shed for the price
I purchased and built this shed a year ago at what is now my rental home. We bought a new house and I plan to purchase this same shed at our new location.
I would suggest, as others have, to purchase extra pressure treated 2x4 for floor joists, as the floor does sag a bit over time. Not a big issue if you do not have anything heavy. I love the workbench with pegboard for tools. Once built, the shed is very sturdy, and looks great.
I built the shed 98% by myself, and will probably build the next one 100% solo, but I would not recommend this. Two people really are needed for setting the walls up and placing roof plywood.
Like most kits like this, the instructions can be a bit confusing

Two women, 3 weekends, love our shed.
The instructions were easy to understand. There is a mistake in the instructions about the length of the runners you buy separately if you choose to use runners as levelers. They should be 12 feet long, not 10. I called customer service and they confirmed that it was an error in the instructions. Other than that it was clear and the hardest part was carrying all the materials to the back yard. We still have to paint and shingle, but will save that for another day. We are in our 40s and both have desk jobs. I think people used to this kind of work could do it in 2 days. This was our first building experience and it won't be our last.

A Hot Mess
First off, I'm pretty handy. Thought this shed kit would be pretty easy to put together.
Wrong.
Directions were HORRIBLE. Could not make sense out of 80% of what they were trying to say.
The lumber used was worse. If there was ONE straight piece of lumber in the whole kit, I would be amazed. On top of that, most all of it was so dried out when nails or screws were used during the installation, the ends just split and cracked. Ended up replacing several of the 2x3 material out of my own pocket.
Do yourself a BIG favor - buy a finished one or pay to have someone put it together for you, either way you are going to spend more than you did for the kit.

The Best Shed We Have Ever Purchased
My husband and I are in no way carpentry literate. That being said, about 2 years ago, we put this shed together over the course of a couple of weekends during our free time. I wasn't certain we were up to the task. The instructions were clear and easy for us to follow. We used wood screws instead of nails and we have had many compliments on the style of this shed. If you do not want the typical metal shed and are looking for a DIY project that you can fashion to your own liking then we would recommend this shed. It was easy enough for two over the hill DIYers. This was our first major project and we love it!

Great Purchase
Took a week to arrive and about five days to build. However, it was built by a 59 and a 65 year old who are less than limber. And it was pretty much half days. My neighbor is considering getting one, and now that we have built mine, his will easily go up in less than three days. I suggest you call Heartland and have them e-mail you the directions ahead of time. It more fully explains what you need to buy other than what comes with the kit. Also, things like putting joists every 12" vice 24" are covered. I added gable vents for the summer heat, a ramp, and a flower box. The green is Benjamin Moore "Green Monster" ....Go Sox!
