Description

Cut or enlarge existing holes with the Spyder hole saw kit. This adjustable hole saw made with a bi-metal material is durable, efficient and long-lasting. It comes with an arbour with a centreing mechanism that helps create a perfect and accurate hole. Use the metal hole saw kit for drilling holes in metals, woods, drywall, PVC, tiles and fiberglass.

14pc kit contains hole saws: 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/2, 2-3/4, 3, 3-1/2, 4, 4-1/4, 4-1/2; pilot bits: Hex10
10x more cuts and 5x faster than standard bi-metal hole saws
Spyder's Rapid Core Eject arbor system ejects cores without prying, quickly changes diameter, cuts at an angle, and enlarges existing holes
Drill wood, MDF, plywood, fiber cement board, porous concrete block, some brick, ceramic wall tile, plastic, PVC and more
Tungsten carbide tipped for extended life, clean cuts and extreme material drilling versatility
Maximum cut depth of 2-3/8-in
Universal 5/8-18 thread uses Spyder Hex10 arbor/pilot bits or other universal hole saw arbors
Not for use in hammer mode or for drilling metal, wood with nails, or in block/brick/tile applications with a Mohs hardness of 6 or greater

Do they sell replacment pilot bits for this kit? This kit works really well but I'm wondering what to do when I need to replace a single holesaw or pilot bit.

They cut fast which saves time on the job, ejecting the core is simple and super fast with the innovative pilot bit release and they create less fine duct then a standard bi-metal hole saw (for which my lungs say thanks.) The pilot bit is proprietary and apparently (I’ve not actually looked myself) not readily available as a replacement, but, if used properly, I cannot imagine ever needing to replace it within the life of this set. I did catch a nail and broke a carbide tip off one of the saws, but they specifically state not for use in wood with nails so my bad. Buying a second set to replace the broken piece and it’s still a bargain. Now I’ll have spares of everything else. LoL

Nous avons été déçus de constater qu’il ne perce ni la céramique ni le béton. Perce difficilement le béton léger. Fonctionne relativement bien dans le bois, la plastique et l’acrylique. Préférable d’acheter des scie cloche spécifique pour chaque matériau.
