Arbor worked great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this with a 2.5" Spyder carbide hole saw to go through 8 inches of concrete. Worked great, just had to bust out the plug of concrete with an air chisel every couple inches. I ended up with a clean hole. I used another bit I had to make the 1/4" pilot hole to guide this arbor, since it isn't carbide tipped and you shouldn't run the hole saw with a hammer drill.

Doesn't fit standard 3/8 drill chuck
Nowhere on the packaging does it say that this has a 1/2 inch shaft. (This web page states it plainly, which is good, but I found it on the rack at my local Lowe's. No size listed anywhere.) Got it home, opened the package, tried to put it in my drill...back to the store -- Home Depot, which had what I was looking for. Clearly marked.

Needed a new hole saw.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new hole saw, and a larger one (4 1/4") to install my new dust collection system. I was running 4" pipe and hose through my corner workbench which included cutting through 2x12s and 5/8" flake board. Also needed to go through at an angle at one point. I didn't need to spend the money on a new arbor like the Spyder, but I was glad I did. The slide feature to pull the plug out is great! Works well and is sturdier than I thought it would be. Sliding the blade back allowed the arbor to extend and start my angle cut. Once the saw started through the surface I was able to reset it and continue the full cut. Worked great. Ultimately happy I bought it. Only thing left is the time test, but it seems a sturdy product. I'll give it five stars if still using in five years.
Also purchased the Spyder 4 1/4" carbide-tipped non-arbor saw. Saw was great! Cut faster and clean. Even through the flake board and an angled cut.

By Far the Best Hole Saw Arbor
This is by far better than any other arbor I've used. Quick change feature and core eject feature take the frustration out of boring holes.

Didn’t last long
Used it with the 6inch hole saw by Spyder. The drill bit snapped on the arbor snapped almost instantly, rendering the hole saw useless.

Great product
Overall design is great, accept the drill bit portion is a little too long. Because of this, when you're starting the initial drilling, you have to be very careful that the drill bit is centered correctly so the hole cutter is centered. If the drill bit depth or length was adjustable, I'd give a 5 star rating.

Saves tons of time and is way better than anything
This is a huge time saver. I should have bought this a long time ago. Not only does it have the spring loaded pins to hold the hole-saw bits but then it has a lower part that releases the unit allowing you to pull it towards the drill which pushes the circle piece you just cut, out of the hole-saw. Normally you have to get a screw driver to wedge/push the piece out. This is so much easier and faster! Good job Spyder!
