Installation was tricky for me because I was doing the area around my fireplace which was not level and required some challenging cuts. Once I got that figured out it was actually pretty easy and forgiving to stick it onto my existing tile. We'll see how it holds up to the heat of my gas fireplace but so far so good (only been about a week of having the fireplace on but the tiles have been up for months).
