Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark Kolar from ECOBEE WIFI THERMOSTAT We purchased the ECOBEE THERMOSTAT with a complete CARRIER HVAC system upgrade from our HVAC system contractor. We had a NEST thermostat previously, and I must say that the ECOBEE is a more advanced and flexible device. I like the wireless module we placed upstairs in our townhome. It actually temperature averages the upstairs and downstairs temperatures and actuates the a/c air handler to equalize the difference when needed. The variability of the comfort settings for both heating and air conditioning is very desirable! If I was in the market for a WIFI type of thermostat, I would recommend the ECOBEE without reservation!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chrispy from Easy to use, good audio, incomplete integration I have had this product for a month, so I am not sure about savings on the power bill. It was the first thing installed in my new house. i bought this one over the cheaper version for the additional room sensor. It was easy to install, easy to setup, and became our device to play bedtime music for the kids. I am disappointed in the integration with other Alexa devices. It cannot be used for multiroom music devices, and cannot be added in with other devices within the Alexa app. It makes me slightly regret paying the extra money. Maybe that is more of an issue with Amazon's lack of focus making Alexa deeper instead of just adding to more devices.

We operated for 5 years with a simple programmable thermostat. Since switching to the Ecobee I have been more comfortable on both floors of my home than ever before! We have also seen a decrease in our utility bills. I use the voice control to change the thermostat more than I ever thought I would. The feature I use most that I didn’t even think I needed is the built in Spotify control! My kids love to play music while doing homework and this way they can right in the living room! I am excited to show off my thermostat to friends and am able to save money while being more comfortable in my house than ever it’s a no brainer to use the ecobee!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by JMS45 from Thermostat Great - Support Not So Great Have had for about 3 months and found the Thermostat works as designed. Works with Alexa perfectly. Then at 1 month, you get eco+ added to allow additional features. This software is horrible. Over 3 weeks working with Tech support, they had to escalate to eco+ tech support who I believe, is non existent. I cannot use eco+ as i cannot disable the Community Energy Savings features (even though I never signed up for it), thus I cannot use the other 4 features of this addon. Normal tech support is slow to respond but eco+ I don't think exists. Trouble leaving here ok should be their motto.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dad2lbb from Smart is the way to go. My AC unit died. Since I was investing in a new unit, needed to upgrade to a compatible thermostat. Why go with a dinosaur when I can move to the latest technology? Looked at the ecobee and it's competition. Based upon the reviews and features, ecobee was the choice. My installer was also a big fan of it as well. During COVID, not really seeing the benefit as I now work from home. But once the world goes back to something normal, I can see how I can really save with this thermostat. I can then set real schedules and set the temperature to the changing needs throughout the day.

The Ecobee app walks you through the installation with pictures and videos. If you get in trouble, support is always there for you. Great features like room sensors, ECO+, vacation settings, reminders, totally customizable comfort settings. Integration with Alexa is wonderful, not only does it work with Alexa to control the Ecobee but it acts as an Alexa device and you can use all of the same features and commands as you would with the Echo Dots. Beautiful design fits into the modern smart home perfectly. You can't have a smart house without it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frankman from Amazing customer service I just purchased the ecobee light. I really like the product. It’s easy to use clear and simple. More than that, I was absolutely amazed by the customer service that they provided in helping me install my unit. I’m a pretty handy guy but I live in an old house. The wires were an absolute mess both at the old thermostat and at the home heating unit. By sending photographs to the person at their customer service center they were able to help me wire my unit and get it working. I simply couldn’t of done it without them. I’ve never seen this kind of customer service from a modern corporation. Keep it up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HVAC Nelson from Ecobee 5 vs 4 I’ve had my ecobee 4 for a while and never had any issues. Decided to upgrade to the 5 (Smart Thermostat with Voice Control) because there was a sale. The speed of the processor in the ecobee 5 is a much faster and the screen response is so much quicker. The speaker when playing music through Spotify sounds much better than the ecobee 4. Definitely recommend ecobee regardless of which model they carry…but if you’re choosing between the ecobee 4 or 5…hands down get the 5 (smart thermostat with voice control). Thanks ecobee!
