Description
Facilitate single and double I-joist attachment with the Simpson ZMAX joist hanger. This product measures 4 21/32 in W x 2 9/16 in H before assembly. Since it removes the need for bevel cuts, this 45° skewed, 2 in x 6 in joist hanger is easy to use. It eliminates web stiffeners for common installation by enveloping a joist's top flange. A ZMAX veneer keeps rust off this 16-gauge galvanized steel unit.
- SUR = skewed right
- Features obround nail holes on the acute side, allowing nails to be easily installed parallel to the joist
- These hangers cannot be modified but will accommodate a 40 to 50 degree skewed joist
- Available with the acute flange turned in to accommodate end-of-wall installation for solid sawn sizes only (SURC or SULC)
- Nominal joist size: 2x6 or 2x8
- Made from 16-gauge steel
- ZMAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
- Install with 16d common nails in the header and 10d x 1-1/2-in nails in the joist
