Description
Apply the 45° skewed Simpson Strong-Tie joist hanger to ease the placement of single and double I-joists. It encases the top flange of the joist, which removes the need for web stiffeners during standard installation. Non-corrosive, the ZMAX coat of this 16-gauge galvanized steel unit provides lasting support. The actual dimensions of this 2 in x 10 in joist hanger are 4 21/32 in W x 2 9/16 in H.
- SUR = skewed right
- Features obround nail holes on the acute side, allowing nails to be easily installed parallel to the joist
- These hangers cannot be modified but will accommodate a 40° to 50° skewed joist
- Available with the acute flange turned in to accommodate end-of-wall installation for solid sawn sizes only (SURC or SULC)
- Nominal joist size: 2x10 or 2x12
- Made from 16-gauge steel
- ZMAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
- Install with 16d common nails in the header and 10d x 1-1/2-in nails in the joist
