Description

This Sika self-levelling cement underlayment is made for interior floors and its thickness varies from 1/25 in. to 1 1/2 in. Made of polymer-modified cement with ViscoCrete technology, this product is fast-setting and installs quickly. It can be applied on concrete, wood, ceramic or any other material. It covers a maximum of 3.8 square feet at 1 1/2 in thick. Each bag contains 22.7 kg of product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kenzo. from Does not level I poured this yesterday and after checking today found many dips/low points and highs, enough that I now have to sand and repour areas and I'm extremely frustrated. It was very thick at the recommended water amount and we smoothed it as best we could when pouring it, but we expected it to level itself which it did not. I do not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Molasses not self leveling Terrible product. It has consistency of molasses and so it doe not self level well unless you are using one bag in a very small space. If you have a bigger project definitely use something else. Note that one set of instructions from Sika website says use exactly 3.8L, another says use between 3.9L and 4.1L. To give you an idea I am used to using LevelQuik and that one for a 50LB bag (same size and weight), requires between 5.0L to 5.4L. The drying times are the same, the walk on time are the same, but the Sika is like Molasses and barely travels, while the LevelQuik is like a watered down pancake mix..... You will not get a level floor with Sika without a lot of raking and coaxing. The competing product just finds its level very easily... I will start over using a another product because this one is really useless to self-level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LPN123 from STAY AWAY- DOES NOT FLOW Complete junk! I used 4.1 l - max quantity of water specified in instruction. I dumped the bucket on the floor and it stayed exactly where it was dumped. I used a squidgy to spread it it but it had very poor flow-ability and cures faster that it can be spread.

It doesn't really self-level - you need to have something to trowel it and generally get it close, but if you just pour it and leave it, it won't spread out completely and stay somewhat slumped in the center. I think this is because it has a high sand content which weighs it down and then doesn't flow very well. I managed to get it to do what I needed (although it gave me high spots in areas that were once lows - need to pour more around it now. This product requires some finesse and expertise. Not for everyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dave77 from Don't buy this product I bought this last week of April 21. I mixed the product as per the bag using 4.1 litres of water. Everything was done per spec for the exception of putting down the SIKA primer. My concrete floor is non porous and in fantastic shape. After dumping the product onto the floor the material did not flow very fast. It actually stopped flowing and I had to move it with a trowel. It did not self level. I had to chip out half of the self leveling concrete because it was worse than when I started. The customer service was terrible. Said the water was absorbed into the floor. I poured a small puddle of water onto the floor and sent him a picture after 20 minutes of arguing. (has been an hour now and the water is still sitting on the floor) All the blame went to me. (I have a civil engineering background.) Unfortunately I have got to purchase another bag to complete the job over again. I would not use this product and would highly recommend you use a competitor.

Il n’est tout simplement pas assez liquide ce qui a occasionné pleins de vallons et de hauteurs inégales sur 250 pi-ca. Vraiment ne faites pas la même erreur que moi: Évitez ce produit pour un autre fabricant tel que mapei.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dcision from great material i dont know what everyone complains about.. i self level floors every single day and this material is amazing.. flows great and levels out really good when mixed thoroughly. i recommend using a pinch more water then the bag suggests.
