This translucent wood finish provides an outstanding coating that enhances the natural appearance of wood. SICO(R) ProLuxe(R) 1 Primary Coat RE is a translucent exterior wood basecoat to be used with SICO(R) ProLuxe(R) 23 Top Coat RE. When used together, this system offers excellent durability and protection for siding, logs and other vertical surfaces. Cedar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizard from Durable and beautiful product I have over 30 years experience using these Sikkens products. They are excellent, long-lasting and beautiful as long as they are on vertical surfaces such as siding. I do not recommend them for decks because they are a "furniture" finish and, if scratched, will allow moisture to penetrate the wood and cause the coating to peel. As with all stains, it is very important to follow manufacturer's application instructions to achieve a satisfactory result. Using the maintenance product is an excellent idea to preserve the attractive glossy finish.
