Description

This vacuum features SVX2 motor for better performance and longer life. It also features large lid latches to keep the tank securely to the lid. The vacuum includes hefty top and side carry handles for mobility and an inlet that will accept 1.25-in, 1.5-in and 2.5-in hose ends. It comes with a 2.5-in accessory assortment for any wet or dry cleaning. This vacuum has a rear-blower port and a 5-year limited warranty.

We had rented for years and we only had one of the small 1.5" shop vacs for cleaning cars. That little guy was not cutting the mustard when taking on large projects in this new house. This one blows (sucks) it out of the water! I vacuumed up an entire floor worth of old tile and plywood and only had to empty it twice. I had to shake the hose out a few times to free up some probably-not-vacuumable sized pieces, but this vacuum took it all in stride. Great suction, capacity, and throughput. My *only* complaint is that you might want to upgrade the brush head if you want to use it to get fresh floors 100% clean. That's it! Hope it treats you as well as it treated me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MostDefinitelyRMN from Powerful, Yet Pointless I bought this to replace my other model 16LTP550A...This doesn't even come close...I was impacted by the flash flooding in my area and my previous one stopped working from overuse...This model here looks great, has power, but has an add on caddy which serves no purpose. It is inconvenient to transport due to the caddy. One of the front casters popped off (while it was completely full) in the course of trying to transport to an outside drain. I had to use a dolly to lift and transport it. I checked and found that the weight of the water caused the plastic support for the caster to crack...Never had this problem or any other with the previous 16LTP550A model...And to top it off, there's no pump feature or auto shutoff when full...Returning this ASAP...RMN

The suction was great I am still picking up acorns. I had one small issue with a hose holder and it was resolved by customer service of Shop Vac quickly. Customer Service 5 Stars. The rep knew what she was talking about and had full knowledge of the unit. No regrets! It is larger than the one it replaced and may not be ideal for all clean ups. I am thinking of getting a 6 gal. unit for smaller jobs from the same company, The parts are well made and strong. The tool tray made the unit a little bigger and harder to empty when full, but is designed so that it could be removed and used without the tray.

Bought this to replace a 10 year old 3.0hp Shop Vac in my wood shop, I wanted one that I could use for dust collection, this one works a little to good I have a couple of carpet runners in my shop and I can’t use this Shop vac on them as it will try sucking the carpet into the hose and wont let go! but far everthing else it works perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by jbeezy from Lots of power but has a few design flaws Great suction. Poor design. The on/off switch went out after 1 month so I installed an industrial toggle switch. The wheels and molded plastic wheel bases are too weak and cracked after a week or so. I had to rig up a way to make them stronger and reattatched wheels directly to canister. And emptying the canister is awkward with the storage bin permamently mounted in the way. So all in all it depends on what you are going to use this shop vac for. I guess I must use mine more than it was designed to be used....or do i?

The suction is great and I have yet to clog the hose - despite vacuuming up large debris. The only drawbacks would be the cord is too short (although that is true of every brand I have ever used). Also, it is very difficult to use the vacuum bags. The design of the receiving slot inside the canister does not allow for an easy installation of a bag. Because of that a good portion of the debris misses the bag and ends up in the canister anyways. Other than that though, a great buy so far. I am a happy buyer!

The canister is easy to maneuver and with the easy twist open section, I could easily dump the water when full.
