What isare the measurements for the Saniplus- macerating pump. This is needed because it has to go behind a wall.
The Saniplus unit is 7" deep, 20" wide and 10-5/8" high.

I have a saniplus toilet that works great in my basement. I want to install a macerating pump behind a wall in a condo to attach a shower , toilet and sink. Do I have to have a saniflo toilet or will an ordinary toilet do?
An ordinary toilet will not work with our Saniplus as it requires a rear discharge toilet where regular toilets are bottom discharge. If you want to use a regular toilet then you would need to use our Sanigrind Pro unit but note that the pump would need to be below the floor level. In a condo application you would be unable to put the pump below grade.

Installation behind a wall not recommended
I have had a Saniflo for more than 20 years. Contrarily to what is advertized by the manufacturer, I would NOT install the macerator pump assembly behind a wall because you cannot do maintenance without opening the wall. I had to change the pump two times (total of three: the original plus two more) since I installed it.
Furthermore, the Saniflo is made to process human waste only, anything else can clog the pump.
