Description

Increase your home's comfort using this SELITBLOC 1.5 mm GripTec floor underlay. Made from a sound-insulative polystyrene (XPS) material, it helps muffle impact and walking noise. The water-resistant material hinders the growth of mould and mildew to enable installation in wet areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens. The 1.5-mm thick Selitbloc underlay for vinyl flooring supports use over underfloor heating systems. It comes as a 48-in W x 25-ft L foldable panel for a speedy DIY installation. Equipped with secure click-connection mechanisms, the low thermal-resistance underlay is easy to set up. It has a printed grid that makes it simple to cut. Its textured Griptec surface keeps vinyl boards from slipping. It covers up to 100 square feet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bc2021 from Not so much sound insulation and other benefits as Installation was quick in my basement. However, I was disappointed after the vinyl was installed on top- a hollow feel while walking on vinyl added with more drumming type of sound even while walking bare foot. Probably wud have been better to not have this at all since the vinyl rubber backing shud have given a solid feel and absorbed sound as well as sit plush with basement floor. Probably good moisture barrier nut that's about the main purpose. No insulation for basement floors
