Rated 2 out of 5 by G3os from Not quick. Not thick. Not worth it. We put down new soil in the back yard where the lawn had not been growing after a pool was removed. The area was 21' x 39' so 812 sq ft. I decided to use this Quick and thick Grass Seed Bluegrass Sun Mix because of the ease of having the fertilizer and grass in one product. This was a mistake. I used the Scotts spreader setting of 12 for new seeding and it took five bags to cover the area. That is pretty bad. The grass started appearing on day 8. This was after constant watering to keep the soil moist as directed. I have continued to water, but the grass is only a little over an inch high and very spotty. I am now needing to purchase more grass seed to fill in all of the bare patches. I dont really think I should need to do this after using so much of the Quick and thick Grass Seed Bluegrass Sun Mix over such a small area. Overall, this product is disappointing. Yes, the existing grass on the borders of the new grass area are dark green so the fertilizer is working. But, there is either very little grass seed in this product or there is a problem with it because coverage is terrible as are the results. I regret buying this and wish I had just gone with a good grass seed to start with rather than this mix

I have applied these seeds on two bald areas on my lawn over two weeks ago and none of the seeds have sprouted. I'm disappointed so far. I'll give it another week.

Plenty of watering in the sunny areas of the lawn and surely enough the grass in coming through. Give it a try, but do remember to water and it's always best to do that early in the day. It worked well in some of my trouble areas.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated again from Garbage. Total Waste of money I bought this over 3 weeks ago. Put it in covered with soil and watered just like directions and hav not seen a single sprout. This is the 3rd year in a row I’ve used this garbage and never does anything. I wish I would learn my lesson. Don’t waste your money. Never again!!!

We’ve struggled to keep the lawn healthy without constant watering. So far, this seed has done well and looks great. We’ll re-seed in the fall with this product.

Used Scott’s turf builder dirt and then put Scott’s turf builder Quick and thick grass seed. In 5 days it is growing nice and thick. Really surprised me, great looking grass.
