My dog had ingested some of this product how dangerous is it to my pet
I don't think so. It's basically cornmeal of some sort. It looked to me like Captain Crunch less all the sugar. The birds seemed to eat a lot of it up after I applied it and as far as I can tell it did little to stop the spread of weeds.

Scotts Weed Control fertilizer
I am using this fertilizer few years already by applying it at very early spring (sometimes before April 1st if weather is warm enough, I believe that even it is snow somewhere on the ground, this fertilizer will still work later on. Applying it earlier gives lots of advantages one of them there are no birds to eat it and of course as early you apply as better the effect. It is noticable difference between my lawn and my neighbour's one, there is clearly line where it was applied and where it was not. Speaking realistically if you never used it before and had lawn full of weeds last year you will still need to pull out ALL large established dandelions by hand, there is nothing will stop them from growing, unless you will hire somebody that have chemicals to kill them. People either have very high expectation about this product or do not apply it properly. I see people buying this fertilizer at the end of May, that is pure waste of money, because it is too late to apply it. I am going to apply this fertilizer late fall and then early spring next year to keep my lawn in good shape. Good product, recommended to everybody.

Outstanding on grab grass
When used correctly this product eliminated all my grab grass. One can't use this like a broadcast fertilizer; it has too be treated like a spot type fertilizer on select areas and applied by hand. I suspect the poor reviews are from folks applying across their entire yard, cutting the grass too low and expecting this corn gluten to do all the work; it really has to be done on spot areas.

Does what it says
I've been using this product for a few years and it helps control new weed growth, especially the dandelion problem we were having. Most reviewers probably don't understand that it will NOT eliminate existing weeds. Hard to find in stores but worth the money.

Do not buy this product
I bought this and put it on my lawn over a week ago and have watered at least 8 times, with the sprinklers being on for 60 minutes each time, the
little pellets are still lying in the yard, and my dog
is eating them!!

Bad choice
I've been fertilizing lawns for years and usually by the Turf Builder with nitrogen pellets but there was a shortage so thought I would try this. Well I had plenty of dandelions despite it advertises weed killer but then left a bit leftover on a shelf in my garage. Well the corn meal pellets were loved by mice and chipmunks that got into the bag, ate the feed and crapped all over my shelf and the contents located on it. Was disgusting. Will never buy this again.

Absolute garbage
1) doesn’t work
2) not cheap
3) need to apply three times according to instructions. Maybe make it more powerful?
4) corn based. Can probably eat the bag and feel ok which tells you the overall effectiveness of this product.
