Can Scotts Select Garden Soil be used for lawn overseeding?
Scotts Select Garden Soil can be used to lightly cover grass seed after planting, no more than 1/4 inch. It can also be mixed into the top 3-6 inches of native soil prior to planting grass seed.

I put this soil in a raised garden bed. Should I add some other soil in it also or would it be okay to add my vegetables plants?

The package says 50 L of soil ( 9.8 kg). Other brands write 25 L ( 15 kg). Isnt the KG suppose to be more in this Scotts package.?
The weight of a growing media is not going to be solely based on the bag size, but also what materials are used (example soil weighs more than peat or bark fines) and desired moisture content at time of baging.

You say not to use Scotts Select Garden Soil in a container and suggest potting soil. However, I want to grow rhubarb in a large container and the Scotts Nature's Care potting mix says it is not for vegetables. What would you suggest?
All of our Potting soils/mixes can be use for planting edibles (fruits and vegetables and herbs) in containers or raised beds.

What happens if I use it in pots and containers? Is there a way to use it in pots & containers for vegetables & flowers?
These types of soils are too dense for container plants and may suffocate plant roots. You will need to use a potting mix for containers.

Not a soil
Calling this soil is an euphemism. It is a mixture of branches, shredded plastic and glass (found tons of it!) and something that looks like grass cuttings or other chopped weeds. It has a rather unhealthy odour and seems to have black or brown colouring as it stains the clothing.

Disapointed - Plastic pieces and lots of sticks
I was quite disappointed with this soil. There were plastic bits, and so many sticks. Might as well be mulch. Definitely will not buy again and will return the other 2 bags when I am able too.

Bad quality soil
it's not a good option for your garden, there is almost no soil, but chips of wood, branches and some plastic. The color is weird grey and smells like petrolium or tee tree oil

Absolutely Terrible - Waste of Money
We bought 4 bags of this and it is unusable. Huge clumps and sticks. We found a ton of plastic pieces and even broken electrical wires in it. Plan on returning the rest of the bags. Honestly expected better from Scott’s.

Full of white mold and a foul odour
I bought seven bags of this stuff to use as filler for some big projects. Even with low expectations I was disappointed, this does not resemble healthy soil in the slightest. There wad a LOT of white mold/fungus in the first four bags I opened. The “soil” was extremely clumpy like manure and smelled worse. (Somewhat to be expected as it says it’s mixed with compost, but not sure what the actual composition of this stuff is.) If I wasn’t in a rush I would have returned all seven bags.

Very pleased with the value
I bought 35 bags on Sunday, went down a treat, spread easily although a little clumpy because of the humidity. Very nice, clean soil. Juts bought another 30 bags, at this price much better value than even the Big Yellow Bag which I usually buy. Wouldn't pay the non-sale price though for these so get it while you can.

Horrible product!
Bought 5 bags. Opened one. Looks like ash from a fire pit. No wonder it’s on sale. Will be returning. DO NOT BUY.
