My 2007 SMH4150WD OTR white Microwave quit after a power failure/power surge. Repair attempts have been discouraged because of it’s age. Do you make one in white that would fit ?

Is it also like a convection oven?

What’s the distance from top of stove to bottom of over the counter microwave
The distance is 20 3/4 inches from stove top to bottom of microwave. I have a slide in range with no back, the microwave comes down even to the bottom of the upper cabinets. It is a stunning microwave, we love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new Samsung microwave! I really like the black stainless fingerprint resistance. The no handle was hard to get use to but now I just love how it looks and operates. There isn’t a how to operate booklet with this but it’s pretty simple to figure out and right inside the door is some cooking instructions. There is a instruction booklet that came with it to install it was pretty simple after we bought a subway tile drill bit to hang the hardware. I would highly recommend this microwave. I looked and looked and read many many reviews before deciding on this one. It did not disappoint!

Faulty Panel-sets time on its own
We purchased this microwave in December 2018. 15 months later, and coincidentally 3 months after the warranty ends, it needs repair. With no one touching it, it sets the time to cook at 7:77 and then the readout scrolls and says press Start or OK. I checked the Samsung community board, and low and behold, there are several complaints about this very issue. It works well otherwise. Samsung will not cover the repair or even the parts. We purchased a Samsung range and refrigerator at the same time...holding our breath on those. Samsung has lost any future business from me.

The look is modern, elegant, is the perfect complement to my kitchen.
It has a large inside and a lot of upgrades from my previous microwave
The touch panel is easy to see and mark your selection.
All the features are great but my favorite one is the sensor cooking options, the heating of the foods, the cook of the vegetables comes out perfect .
The ceramic enamel makes the interior cleanup easy and the fingerprint resistant finish makes to keep the microwave always shining.
We are pleased and happy with our new microwave.

Disappointed
7 months after having this microwave it has started to turn the fan on by itself as well as beep and say press start or ok and no one is near it or even has touched it. It even happens in the middle of the night.. very random. Service technician is coming to look at this but my loyalty to SAMSUNG products has fell a brand new microwave should not be having these issues. Ive noticed on the reviews alot of people have the same issue. DONT BUY.

Works great

The one best feature ever I found on this microwave is it has a child lock on it so they cannot mess with it. It looks so stylish in my kitchen and is very easy to clean. The inside is a nice dark color which barely shows if there is stuff splashed in it. It has so many settings you can use and is very easy to use too. I love it and have absolutely no complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is very impressive! It has such a sleek design that will match with any kitchen decor from modern to rustic. I was searching for a new look considering my old microwave was over 10 years old and came with my house. The capacity it can hold took me by suprise since its alot bigger than im used to! I am able to fit bigger plates inside which makes my life easier! The sensor makes heating a breeze, I don't have to worry if its to little or to much time! It does it for me! It is fingerprint resistant which is wonderful with kids, im not constantly cleaning the front! Installation was very simple, my fiance was able to have it done quickly.

Stopped Working
I purchased all new black stainless steel Samsung appliances from Lowe's to update the kitchen. The microwave stopped working after 26 months. Repairman came to look at unit and said computer board is not turning on the magnetron. The cost of repairs was not economical and I am forced to purchase a new microwave. I feel strongly that a microwave at this price range should have lasted longer without having to repair the unit.

Why the negative reviews?
I’m 33, this is my 4th microwave. First two GE’s magnetrons broke (under warranty and two different models), my Whirlpool vent stopped after 8 years. I’m speechless as well this Samsung Microwave performs. We are movie watchers, so the popcorn setting MUST WORK, and we are not disappointed. Installation is no different than any other microwave. I made sure to install a dedicated 20 amp fuse to this beast. (It pulls nearly 17 amps on high) The ventilation is as advertised,turbo! I love the overall design of this appliance. It really looks as though it’s a huge microwave, and it has enough space to boast it. I’ve owned for 6 months and have nothing negative to say about it. If I HAD to think of one...ummm... they should include 3 stud mounting screws instead of the one and of course the already prepackaged two drywall wall mounting screws. I am curious how my first carbon filter change is going to go, though :)
