The design is solid with the exception of the WiFi component, IF you have a down-draft vent hood behind your cooktop you will need to ensure there is enough room to install both due to spacing. The center burner with the wok grill is an excellent touch and works really well. The burner temperature settings take a bit to adjust to, but the fact that the dials illuminate is a great safety feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with new 36" Gas Cooktop with 22K BTU Dual Power Burner in Black Stainless Steel, I enjoy cooking more, makes life easier, all the features are just awesome, love the LED lights when my burner is on, the flame is just powerful and beautiful. Love the cast iron griddle, is heavy and high quality, easy to clean and cooks perfectly my food. The design of this cooktop is just beautiful, Fingerprint Resistant & Black Stainless Steel. Love the 5 burners, easy to cook a lot of things at the same time, except if you are cooking with huge pots. The best thing it has WIFI, so in case I forgot if I leave a burner on I just can check on my phone. Overall I truly love my Samsung Cooktop, which works awesome, easy to clean, cook, and looks beautiful! I cook more often now and I enjoy every single thing about it!

The simmer is truly simmer and the high heat really is high. The accessories work like they are supposed to work. It is a delight to use.

It did not fit perfectly and required making the hole a bit larger but otherwise it is great. The cooktop is very attractive and looks great in the kitchen. It is very easy to clean since the grates come off. I also love the high BTU burner. It works great for doing a stir fry with a wok. I have also noticed that my pans heat much more evenly than my old gas cooktop. the griddle is also fantastic. The only thing I do not have much use for is the wifi connection. I do not see much purpose for the app, since it just shows you if the burner is on. Overall, I love this cooktop!

Should have replaced it years ago, this 36" with 22K burner is a home cooks dream! Love the cast iron griddle accessory and low burner for simmering that doesn't click on/off. Well done Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolucik from Cooking Excellence [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon installation i was already excited to get cooking. The look is very sleek and modern. A beautiful touch is the blue illuminated knobs. Wow! We all know we have a favorite burner, mine is the center one. I love cooking soups and sauces in the center. The setting is so accurate i have been able to control even the simmer. Sautéing meats has become a breeze. I now realize why i missed gas so much. Cooking is a pleasure. The rest of my family enjoys using the plate to make breakfast all day. Eggs and bacon anyone?! I would highly recommend this cooktop. Oh did I mention how easy it is to clean, bonus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DoctorBob from Excellent cooktop I’m a serious cook and did considerable research to find a replacement gas cooktop. I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s well engineered. My thoughts: 1) Large sturdy metal knobs with long turning radius make it easy to control flame. Blue light to show which burner is lit is very helpful especially on simmering flame, which can be difficult to see. 2) 22,000 btu center burner that comes with cask-iron cradle for holding a wok Is wonderful for authentic Chinese cooking—or just boiling a big pot of water. 3) Placement of burners makes sense. I saw one brand that had the low 5K btu simmering burner up front. On the Samsung it’s on the right rear where simmering pots belong—“on the back burner.” Left front and rear burners are of the same medium btu output and there’s a cast-iron griddle that fits over it. My only complaint is the griddle wasn’t pre-seasoned. (Do this yourself using grape seed oil only: very thin coat of oil, then put in 400 degree oven for a couple hours. Rinse, lather, and repeat till nice dark shiny patina is evident, about 5 cycles). 4) All burners have excellent low flame, including the monster center burner. 5) Continuous grates make it easy to slide pots over to another burner. 6) Some brands tout the low profile of their cooktop. The grates on the Samsung sit about 2 1/2 inches above the counter and it does look a bit imposing. Plus, with a standard 36” high counter, this may feel too high for short people. I’m 6’ tall so it’s not a problem. But there is a benefit I found: The handles of pots and skillets usually hang over the edge of any cooktop and intrude upon valuable counter space. With a higher profile, bowls and utensils can sit under the handles closer to the cooktop without interference. 7) Easy installation. Easy to disassemble and clean.
