Don’t waste your money
I bought this after using circa 1850 for several jobs and discovering that Rona now carries this brand instead. If I could give it zero stars, I would. It doesn’t strip paint very well at all. You end up doing a lot of scraping instead of having the chemical do it’s job. For this job I was stripping a door. It took almost 6 litres to do one side. Fortunately, I found a local paint store that carries Circa 1850 and for the extra $2 it’s a far superior product. The other side of the door took less than 3 cups of Circa 1850.

This paint stripper sucks
This paint stripper is a waste of money and I encourage you to not buy it. I was trying to strip a bike frame and after 3 coats with 20 minutes in between it did nothing and made it harder to sand the paint away.

Terrible do not buy
I bought this last week as Rona no longer stocks Heirloom Max, I was told this was just as good, it was not. Complete waste of money as I barely made it through a single layer of paint. Utterly useless product

Works very well on varnishes.
I have also used Circa 1850 in the past and I find this works equally as well on varnished surfaces. I have not tried it on paint. I really like it as it does not smell nor does it burn flesh.
