Complete installation kit for mounting ceiling fans and lighting fixture. Teeth grip into joist to provide a secure installation. For remodeling or new construction. The Saf-T-BraceTM easily installs through a 4" diameter hole in the ceiling. For fans weighing up to 70 lb., for lighting fixtures mounted on 16" center joists weighing up to 150 lb., and lighting fixtures mounted on 24" center joists weighing up to 50 lb. Electrical box included.

Easy to install
I bought this item to replace an existing plastic outlet box in order to install a ceiling fan. The hanger box was easy to install between the attic rafters and provides a solid point of anchorage for the new fan.
